Default Are things as bad as I think they are??

Do we all hate each other so much??? Do we really feel the need to segregate ourselves into groups of can and can-nots?? Why do we anger?? Why do we hold grudges....it is a great calamity when one cannot forgive another, in the end your not forgiving yourself. Why do we use our words and our speech to inflict pain, misery, and sadness?? Why must we tear other's down to rise ourselves up?? Where is our conscious, where is the spirit, where are our souls???

Because the universe is very, very large and humans are tiny, tiny things in the grand scheme of things. Deep down we know this to be true and it is hurtful to our fragile egos. We hide from it and ignore it as best we can, but the truth remains and a lot of people can't handle it very well because, unfortunately, wisdom is not a genetically inheritable trait. This leads to violent lashing out in many ways (too many to discuss here, but just read some history or the news). To sum it up, humans are still little children in many ways.

I think everyone wonders this at some time. Of course it's never fully true. First, you have human nature-- as some have pointed out. We have a natural bent toward doing stupid stupid stuff including treating people like cr@p.

More importantly, it's never ever as bad as you think. For every jackwagon there's a nice guy. For every leetist guy you wanna punch in the mouth, there's a laid back dude who just wants to have fun. In fact, the decent people prolly outnumber the jerks 3:1 or more. But, they aren't as loud and don't stick out. How do you get in someone's face being nice??

That's an interesting idea actually... What does aggressive niceness look like? lol

there are both Newbie & Old Timer Rude people that like to take out their issues and narcissism in game. But like they say, 3 nice people usually = 1 rude person. Or perhaps the 80/20 Principle. 20% of the population are the asswipers that contribute to 80% of the bad behavior.
