I got a Bow of the Silver Flame from the Disrupt the Drow Ritual optional.
Would like to get ahold of one of these to test on my Acrobat. Thanks to Roary for the item link on lamma.

Well, it's a pretty cool staff, for the most part.
I'm not sure I get it, entirely, as it seems to have a bit of a split personality with the casty stuff on it in addition to the crit mod and damage effects. As it is, I think I'd use it over the eSouleater on most critters that arn't immune (or highly resistant) to fire. It wouldn't come out for undead, as triple pos GS is much better. Soloing I'd probably still use the eSouleater though, for the bodyfeeder + vampirism.
It would be nice to see it beefed up a bit from a melee damage standpoint, as some have mentioned before, with some additional damage enhancements. I can understand how this could potentially be overpowering for some melee casters, though I rarely see any using q-staves in the first place.
If I was to request only a single change, it would be to have it made Adamantine, Cold Iron, Silver or even plain Steel. The biggest problem with quarterstaffs (aside from their weak damage) is that most of them break in a hurry for an acrobat. Wood + fastest 2hand attack rate + epic mob hp = broken!

A big thank you to +KookieKobold for hooking me up with an Epic Luminious Truth at the event tonight.
I've been looking for a chance to get my hands on one and see how it feels compared to some other staves on my Acrobat. Since my Acro is Strength based, my only other Epic option is the Epic Souleater (or a T3 Alchemical Quarterstaff, which I've yet to build) and that doesn't give me a lot to compare it to. I'm only looking at this staff for its melee virtues, since the caster bonuses have no effect on my character. I'm still not sure how to take the caster + melee design. I'd rather it have no appeal to casters, so I don't have to compete with them for it on my Thief Acrobat, but that's a rather selfish thought.
I like it so far, though I havn't had a chance to test it in a wide variety of content. In general it plays out alot like the Epic Souleater, but has a nice little burst of damage from Incineration which makes watching the damage numbers a little more exciting. I'm not sure that it's much ahead of the Souleater on critters that are highly resistant or immune to fire, given the Souleater's 2d6 Negative damage and +2 profane Strength bonus (I don't have Greater Abishai). Unfortunately, Incineration feels a little on the anemic side for an epic melee weapon and could maybe use a little help.
One of my quick tests was to run through the Vale explorer area using just this staff. I like to do this to test the durability of a weapon. Most of the critters in the Vale do little to no wear-and-tear on most Epic Weapons made out of some sort of metal. However, the Epic Luminous Truth is made of wood, with a hardness of 16. The Vale pretty much ate this staff, and it was at less than 1/3 durability by the end of my quick run. In longer Epic quests, I will be switching to another weapon when this breaks, or adding the Adamantine Ritual instead of Force.
I think if I were to ask for improvements I would request a boost to Incineration (possibly Greater Incineration?) and for it to be made of something interesting that was harder than wood and for the hardness and durability to be adjusted accordingly. Cold Iron, Flametouched Iron, Silver, Adamantine, or even just Steel would all be great choices and add some flavor.

You can only have one eldrich ritual on an item at a time (being force, force burst and adamantine, well, and the saves one but that doesn't count for weapons)
It was a crafting system they introduced what, 4 years ago and then never added anything to it, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if the code for it is surrounded by /************DO NOT MODIFY**********/ because no-one remembers exactly how it was coded anymore It just works.
Ouch at durability issues.
Greater Incineration is an enormous improvement on Incineration - upgrading from 2% to 5% on a ~280 damage proc adds more damage than adding Vicious or Holy would. Not saying that shouldn't be done (I've not run the numbers), but it would be quite a DPS increase on the weapon.
I don't have a zerging problem.
I'm zerging. That's YOUR problem.

Thanks for the info on Greater Incineration, Sirgog, I really wasn't sure how much of an upgrade it would be. It would be a pretty impressive increase in DPS then, and probably more than it really needs since it does have the nice improved crit profile. Not that I wouldn't like a big damage boost for my acrobat, but it doesn't need to be overdone. Now I'm not sure then what to beef it up with, because it still feels like it could use a little love. Holy is an easy choice, or even something like Maiming, Force Burst, or even Righteous could add nice kick to it.
Hah! That could be a pretty neat setup, though I'm still leaning towards some sort of metal property. There are pleanty of wooden staves out there for your Acrobruid (Druibat?) already, like that really fancy uhm, Nature's Wrath or whatever it is. :P

Any increase in hardness and/or durability will be appreciated. I don't care what material, just make them less likely to break through regular use. Quarterstaves are fragile enough as they are, and with Acrobat attack speed, they're even more flimsy.
If it breaks that easy I indeed agree it should have a better durability/hardness for an epic item. Doesn't the durability and hardness anyway increase with the level of the item? But if I look on other items like the Epic Tinder which only has a hardness of 13 ...
But yes, a named Densewood staff would be nice as from the top of my head I can only think of Nature's Vengeance being one, or maybe a clicky 3/rest with an ironwood spell on it
Does anyone know where there drop?

Agreed, and It sorta peeves me that greater incineration is showing up on various items, but a tier 3 alchemical weapon still is stuck with regular incineration; arguably the most difficult item to make in the game right now.
I have no idea what the item designer is thinking, especially regarding alchemical melee weapons.
