This is also a f2p pack, so I wouldn't expect the items to be must haves for everyone.

Though that shield has potential if the DR is bumped up when epic'd.

Dr will be bumped a little in just the enhancement increase. +6 would be an increase of 2 and if slotted for +7 it would then be a 3 net increase.

Even without it's the first fairly easy to get epic tower shield. Tier three alchem isn't really readily available at this point. As such it has a +2 ac advantage over both +5 mithrall like levik's or a +7 heavy like epic kundarak. Also note the 19/20 crit range, I can't recall if all towers have this off hand but if not it could be a slight boost to those with imp shield bash.

The hide armor has the possibility to rival some of the other best ac armors out there too.

If they do epic even close to right, +6 mithral tower shields like that will just drop in regular old random loot in Update14.

So why make an item that would be obsolete so fast..

Needs something nice on it. DR16, some kinda heal amp or absorption and the resists to 10 would be nice.

If I were to bet, it'd be higher resists and/or absorption ... I mean thematically epics USUALLY amp what is already there.

Well, we might be getting more enemies with piercing dr. Some spiders already have it, and I could see them giving driders piercing dr. This might be a weapon that will be better against future enemies than ones that we already see.

They have DR/Piercing and Good, I do believe. Which won't really be helped by these Swords.

Too bad the Scimmy's not Cold Iron. It'll still be a good weapon for Running With the Devils, but it could have been *perfect*. It'll work fine for the Eladrin, and better than what most people have for the Ghaele.

Not in the one we have open to us. They're all evil. The Jariliths are Chaotic Outsiders, but that's it.

I pulled the bulwark from the quest...it's a tower shield. Falls in the chest for purifying all the altars. Don't have a screenshot at the moment, but I'll post one later if someone else doesn't first.

I just pulled a Scroll of the Doublecross Bow.

The first 17 mobs seemed easy for an epic - they all died rather nicely to blade barriers, with maybe 2000 HP each. I don't think I'd make it that far on that char on most epics on the live servers.

It's a nice shield, but there's absolutely no reason to use it over Levik's Defender, which comes in earlier at min lvl 14.

I guess a Cleric or FvS could make some use of it, but it's quickly outranked by Lorrick's or Light and Darkness.

I imagine it is much easier to get than a Levik's.

We mainly want Cold Iron so we can add on Deadly Weapons. Some people hate that named eladrin *that* much.

yes, yes we do hate good aligned creatures that much. Unlimited mana for unlimited healing whats not to hate? Frankly its a shame we can't select 'good outsider' as racial enemy on rangers

Really like the look of this. Inherent resists are seriously underrated. Note the AC is also 1 higher than usual which odes well for the Epic version.

Of course, we did just get Alchemical shields which stomp all over this for most characters, but the epic version of this shield might just have potential.

The items are very nice but I have not read anything about the rings to FVS/Arties in TOD.
