Holy ****! When they said there was a crack in the harbor, I figured it would be this small innocent crack that a half-orc could just barely squeeze into. That crack looks like the Nine Hells are breaking free!

Okay. Critique of this item while I wait for Lasagnaland to finish downloading.
- ML:16, +4 Enhancement Bonus - Ouch, okay. Cause Rogues randomly like losing +1 to-hit and damage.
- BtA - Good. We can wield it at-level on a first life Rogue who might not have any better. Thumbs up bro.
- 1d6 Base Damage - Well that kind of sucks. The Polycurse Dagger trumps that, and they're both the same ML. Yes, it's a Shortsword's Base Damage, but... meh.
- Poison Burst - Sounds neat. We'll see what it actually works on. I'll assume most Trash, but wouldn't be surprised to see WF and Undead Immune.
- Paralyzing - Okay. Good for non WF/Undead Trash.
- Deadly Spider Venom - Again, this really depends on how often we see this work. It's a DoT, which is kind of cool. But I imagine WF/Undead/Red Names will be immune.
- Possibly Str/Dex selective? - Neat, Dex Builds Rejoice.
- Armor-Piercing 10% - By itself, a cool property. Would be great on something like a ring or a necklace.
The problem with this item? As usual, it's confused as to what it's role is.
- Armor Piercing would be good against WF, Undead, and Raid Bosses. These are our mobs in-game with fortification.
- WF, Undead, and Raid Bosses are likely immune to every other effect (Poison and Paralyzing).
- It doesn't bust DR for any metal, alignment, and only does piercing. Which means it won't bust DR for most Constructs, Undead, and Raid Bosses.
So, while the various properties sound neat, I think they're not really suited to be on the same item. It means that it's a semi-decent trash weapon for a first-life TWF Dex-based Assassin, who had a higher-level toon who could farm two of these. But then this Assassin will hop into Shroud/VoD/HoX... and pretty much be useless again.
I'd love to see the Armor-Piercing *and* the Str/Dex on the Turbulent Epee, and see this item lose the Armor-Piercing, and instead gain a +5 Enhancement Bonus. A set of one for trash, a set of the other for Bosses. Neither one incredible DPS, but filling their appropriate roles.
Dear item Devs,
Please consider replacing the 'large scorpion poison' ability on Epic Sting with one/both of the poison abilities on this SS.
Also, make it glow blue when Orcs are near by.
Thanks.
IDK if it's a new item ingredient, but it don't know any Templar's Bulwark.
Notice there's also string table error.
Khyber: Nimrud (main), Tadko (tank), Yayamee (monk), Healingonly (melee FvS), Almeya (trapper), Groggor (barb), Feneya (archer), Zornix (archer) and some others
Hardcore season 1: AveDarkLord (favor leaderboards)
Hardcore season 5: Dont Wanna Die (favor leaderboards)
and that at least is a string table error that SHOULD be happening, since the item doesn't exist yet

I pulled the bulwark from the quest...it's a tower shield. Falls in the chest for purifying all the altars. Don't have a screenshot at the moment, but I'll post one later if someone else doesn't first.

Someone just linked a Scroll for a "Silver Slinger". Just putting that out there.
Yea found that on a run i just did.
We found scrolls/shard/seals for at least 10+ items tho, almost all of the ones we found do not match items from this quest.. Including a shard in endchest, so its either we are missing a rare item, or that they are in other quests.

5 named items in 1 quest. Most of them seem niche items. This looks like they are going for something like sentinels concerning itemization, which would not be a bad move at all.
I just hope drop rate on epic component is good, and that epic items are worth using.
Interesting fact:
They 99% designed an epic mode for the last free pack (U3). They went as far as too fully stat the bosses. I have screenshots and everything of running them. Acid Wit specificly, all the named enemie have epic versions. Delerium and Mired in kobolds wasnt quite finished, tho many of the mobs did have epic profiles.
Just decided to stop at the last minute I guess and not release it.
Glad they took that xtra step this time around.
Given how few feats rogues have I'd say they should do that. Or at least make wep finesse just an action point with the enhancemnet setup.

2AP: Shortswords may use your str/dex stat, whichever is higher
3AP: Rapiers may use your str/dex stat, whichever is higher
(Theif acrobat would get this for free with staves after spending X points in the TA tree)
