    Default concerning epics

ok with the recent 20% off packs and the points bundle i bought before xmas i finally have all the packs that contain epics wahooooooo.
my questions are should i do the packs on non epic before attemting, joining groups etc for epic runs?, does much change in epic quests making them different from normal ones dungeon layout here as opposed to traps and hp for monsters. which one would be a good one to start with?, ive heard that the carnival ones are a good introduction to the epic scene is this true? basicaly any help here would be appricated.

If it was me, I would at least run it on a normal-elite setting just so you are somewhat familiar with the quest.

    Carnival- snitch, partycrashers
    and
    Sentinels- Bargain, Tide

are what I consider "starter" epics. They are fairly easy to complete and will give you a feel for what epic quests are all about.

You can get some basic information from Epic Dungeon Overview.

In most cases, the dungeon follows the behavior of the dungeon on elite, so Epic Small Problem has the four-dog end fight that Elite has, just with bloated HP trash and a more sturdy Brawnpits.

In a few dungeons (The Tide Turns is a big example), there are a few extra only-on-epic traps and mob spawns.

The best to start with are Snitch, Bargain of Blood, or Fathom the Depths. From there, go on to the rest of the Fens flagging quests, the rest of the Carnival aside from Small Problem, VoN1 and VoN2, and Tide Turns. Then, once you get enough experience with those, you can start exploring the more difficult epics.
