Buffs should be a nice-to-have only
Buffs should never be permanent or semi-permanent (Lost only at death/logout) or automatic, they should be limited

Many argue that they should last as long as using the guild Augments - Difference between Augments and Shrines/NPC's - Effects a single person and costs plat for only a single person. Shrines/NPC's last for a week, depending on Guild Level this is either Store Points/Plat, they can be used by anyone for no additional cost but the time it takes to click/go through dialog.

What I would like to see change is the attitude towards ship buffs as being needed. Desired is fine, needed is not.

Originally I was thinking what Enoach said above me, so I was going to /not sign it. But then I looked at everyone's posts and mob psychology took over and I replied with /signed. THEN I read Enoach's post, and now I don't know what to think.

What I would prefer is if the buffs paused while in a public instance, much like experience potions.

Sure make them last 6hrs or till death. Just make it so it costs 5000pp for every buff you take so people only get the critical ones.

You should STILL grow a pair and be self sufficient and ween yourself off the ship buff teet.

(Hopefully that won't hurt anybody's fragile feelings)

BYOH. Know it, abide by it, or don't mess with those who do.

I'd like to see guild buffs paused while in public.

Although I'm not adverse to having some distinction between buffs that you take from your own guild, and buffs from a guild you're not a member of. Perhaps double the duration on buffs aquired from your own ship? That's possibly quite tricky to program for, though.

6 hour duration or perma until Death please.

My thread on the General Forum about this issue: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=358995
So in everything, do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Cannith: Arqa - Celduin - Gnossos - and others.

Don't worry about the feelings part, I think I've got it covered with one of my replies.

Not going to change my mind on having them last indefinitely, but having them not count down in public I can stand by that.

Also, I can see if they lasted longer in general to the tune of 90 minutes or 2 hours would be much more appreciative to the general public.

Longer than that just seems absurd to me.

I agree with buffs being permanent until logoff or character death. What a convenience this would be.
