2 years, but that was before the game gone F2P.
Nowdays, it would be more difficult as coming back do not requires directly giving money

Ive barely logged in since christmas, thats after years of playing 2+ hours just about every day.

I wouldnt say I have quit though, whats the point. Im premium so all my stuff will still sit there and wait.

Ill probably always log in every now and then for however long the game lives but, for me, the shines gone a bit so my play time is way down.

I quit for about a month once. I think it was sometime not too long after they added the imposter hats.

Never 'Quit' the game. Quit implies leaving with the intent of never returning.

Did take a 7 month break before F2P. Got sick and tired of the black hole of information and updates DDO had become so cancelled sub and took a long long break. Taking an extended break from this game (or any game addiction) does wonders for putting the game and how much you play it into perspective.

Once it went F2P, I went Freemium and now I NEVER feel obligated to play. No monthly cost = no feeling of obligation to play.

Lately, I have been on a 4 week DDO break due to the awesome sauce that is Skyrim. I must say that game is so awesome in a way DDO never can be, yet I cannot say that it is 'better' as it is a different game.

Once I get burned out on that, I will drift back to DDO and enjoy it again.

Oh, and a personal (pointless pat on the back) note... 1000th post

on a semi-self enforced 4 week break due to travelling with out my laptop and vacation. but i am considering taking a longer break/shorter play times for work/college etc.

Took a break because of rl issues (had to save my marriage). Left for over a year, realized DDO was too important so got a divorce (guess she wasnt important enough) and now I play all the time again

19 days and i am was already thinking abt switching gear on my rogue. sigh
