    Question Jewelcrafting

Imagine what it would be like if you could train yourself in jewelcrafting.

A crafting system where each player could be able to craft powerful gems to put into his or her augmented equipment.

A crafting system where you can augment a small, medium, large or even huge gem slot into a piece of equipment for you to put your own gems in! Crafted, epic, named, random, you name it, you augment it.

Besides this simply adding great value to itemization, it would greatly increase the popularity and value of using gems to gain a competetive end. It would even be worth having conversations about.

Make items with large slots available to any person who wants to craft it.

Recipes with supreme gems could be hidden in quests or drop randomly in wildernesses. They could be read like tomes and thereby added as an option in your crafting book.

Gaining higher guild levels would be more relevant.

And gems found in quests would no longer be worthless vendortrash.

Heck, might even be more people who want to do Coal Chamber!

I really like the idea of jewelcrafting. It would really help in giving a purpose to collecting gems in ddo.

Those gems.. what a pain to dispose of.
It would be really nice if I could go to some sort of magical altar and it could bring up a recipe, and click... Tiny, Small, Medium and Large Gems of [bonus here] which could them be slotted into a guild slot.

I dont know what Turbine had planned with them in the first place... but i hope that this is what they were doing and will do later on.
My demands are simple. Ducks, penguins and tortoises as pets. I'll buy hats and bow-ties for them all.

Jewelcrafters are not only cuting gems. they also make jewelry... you know things like rings, necklaces, trinkets.

That would be nice to have something "complete" :
    - collect ore ( or coins for silver, gold, plat, ... )
    - collect gems
    - cut gems
    - craft gems, ore and eventually crafting essences/shard to make an item with some power
On G-Land : Flavilandile, Blacklock, Yaelle, Millishande, Larilandile, Gildalinde, Tenalafel, and many other...
