Default A ? to everyone "graphic cards"

I would like to know if anyone runs directx 11 on Ultra High graphics quality. If so what is your fps? I'm looking for 60+ fps avg. I would like to know the graphic card you are using. I get right now a avg of 30's to 60's on Ultra High. But, don't like my fps to drop past 60. Note I play in 1920x1080 refresh rate 75hz.

I'll have to look, but I think my HD5870 is managing those kind of frames on 1920x1200 60Hz, at least in-quest. I find that my graphic experience is better in quests and raids than it is in public areas.

Just looked at Newegg, looks like my poor 5870 isn't even sold anymore. ;.; Probably the next best up into the 6000 series is where you'd want to look, maybe 6870 ~ 6990 if it is in your price range.

My old Radeon 4000 HD series runs like a champ, except for the snow bug that afflicts the 4000 series - staying in any area with snow for more than a few seconds will hard lock the computer. I could supposedly fix it by installing newer or older drivers than what's in Windows Update, but 7 plus ATI makes installing drivers outside of Update really really hard.

I'd suspect any current card in the $100+ range will run DDO pretty flawlessly.

    Default Ok

So, I went all out and got the new AMD Radeon 7970. If I do not get 60fps then I do not know what to do lol. Here is the card, smoking hot.

    First,

    Second,

Third, The current drivers (Catalyst 12.01b IIRC) are going to disappoint you. They are seriously borked and not just for XFire profiles. Unfortunately, they are the only ones that support the 7900 series as of yet. And they are only available for x64.

    Still,
Best of luck! Wish I had the cash to get one.

    Howdy,
I'ld also make sure your PSU has the juice to keep the beast well fed.

Good thought I have psu 1200w right now. And i have a ssd on the way also. I'm thinking for the future in my gaming PC. The video card should be good for about 2 to 3 years I hope. I have done my home work on this card ,and the card is the best card out there right now. I'll post my fps when I get the card.

    The best hardware? Perhaps.

But as another poster has put out there, the driver support isn't the best yet. Which is pretty much a standard line about all the new video hardware when it gets put out.

Future-proofed for a while? Yes. But expect some growing pains. Which is why I would have initially suggested something in the 6970's price range. Much cheaper, and it's been out long enough to at least get some sort of driver support.

Still, going to be a pretty beast system you've got going on there, when the drivers do stably support your games.

    Wow.

Yeah, that will rock some DDO. I'd buy BF3 if I were you, just to put that on max settings and see how absolutely beautiful that game can be.

You have sync with refresh rate on. You are aware the human eye can't see above 30-35 fps right? Leave sync with refresh rate on it helps with tearing.
