Survey Scam?

Hi, I just got an email today from "ddo" saying about completing a survey and getting 250 ddo points for it. And was just wondering if its real or not since i do not see anything on ddo's website about this survey. Id hate to finish it and end up with a virus or worse. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, specially from someone from turbine. Thanks in advance.

Never never never EBBER click on a link in any email, ever, and then enter any user data at wherever it sends you. If there were a class called Phishing Avoidance 101, that would be the first sentence. Anyway, all official mail comes from turbine, not "ddo." But even then that stuff can be spoofed, so don't trust it. And that many points for a minute of your time? That's about $2.50 USD/minute, or $150/hr. Please someone hook me up with that job

EDIT: it's real? is there a link to something on the official site that's telling about it? not doubting, i just need a reference for everything

There are legit surveys, so it's probably legit. Just check the URL by copy/pasting to make sure it's at a trustworthy location and that it's not asking you for a password or anything like that.

I rather doubt that this is real DDO list surveys here on the forums. Beware of any E-mail like this no matter who it is from. Even if your best friends name is on it...

Sorry but you saying you know some one is not any sort of Proof at all.. I have seen way to many scams to believe this..And not calling you a Lair. Just am one the has to see some real proof.

Unfortunately I couldn't find it using the search on these forums, but there was another thread like this awhile back and a dev (Tolero iirc) posted in it saying there actually are surveys like this being sent out periodically. No idea whether this one is legitimate or not, obviously, but there are some legit ones out there!

I've done said survey and received the 250tp for doing it. Nothing odd has happened with my account by doing so.

The only think that bugged be a bit was that near the end it asked for a copypasta of a DxDiag report to know my computer specs, but I went through it and removed things like my Machine Name.

I did the Survey and got my 250 TP code from it, no issues.
