    Default Please critique my 36pt pure cleric build

    I pretty much suck at building characters so help is needed...a lot! Here is what i managed to come up with using the planner. I'm not looking to be a battle cleric by any means. What im looking for is great spell penetration, amazing bladebarrier and incredible healing. As for gear...I haven't gotten that far yet.

    Drop dex to 8 and increase strength 14.
    Put max ranks into: Concentration, UMD, Diplomacy. Eat a +2 int tome at 7 and put extra points into balance.

    Feats should be something like this:
    Maximise (1), Empower (1), Toughness (3), Empower Healing (6), Heighten (9), Spell Penetration (12), Greater Spell Penetration (15), Quicken (18)

    You could choose extra turning at level 3 and swap it to toughness at 11 when you get blade barrier and don't need the extra turns so much.

    I would not take Feat: (Selected) Past Life: Initiate of the Faith . And would not take improved turning.I would rather takes Thougness and highten.

    Enhancement: Human Greater Adaptability Strength I.. Swap this with con instead.

    would not take UMD or diplomacy as sug. If you get the agro from mobs its becourse you want it. With your BB and other. The UMD is usefull but requires a ton of items. to get high enough to where it really can do you anything good. and even then not much you want to be able to use anyway.. fireshields and teleport . both comes in items.

    I would take the +2 int tome at lvl 7 aswell.. +2 skill point that way. And i would take more balance skill.

    Concur, except maximise and empower aren't SP efficient enough for low lvl spells IMHO. I'd take toughness and empower healing first. You get Mass Heal at 17 so perhaps get quicken at 15. Spell resistance isn't that great an issue, so I wouldn't prioritise those.

    BTW i think its posted the wrong place.
    It's simple to have a workable UMD score (11 ranks +8 charisma +3 cartouche +3 spyglass +4 GH +2 versatility: skills I = 31) which is enough for fireshield scrolls which are amazing for survivability and relying on multiple clickies (to cover longer fights and fire and cold variation) just isn't practical.

    UMD is also great for displacement, invisibility, teleport, greater teleport, greater heroism, fog scrolls, globes of invulnerability (in HoX primarily) and bypassing UMD requirements on items (like enduring conviction, staff of arcane power etc).

    Empower and Maximise aren't for spells but rather for Radiant Servant Burst at level 6 which, when amped up with these feats and a Superior Ardor V clicky, will decimate Delera's and other undead heavy content.

    I appreciate everyones advice how does this look...Im up in the air about diplomacy since I want agro to kite mobs through BB...

    Diplomacy was just on account of there being nothing better to spend points on. It's completely optional but in theory it could be useful for those occasions when you don't want aggro (epic quests etc).

    Skip it if you like
