    Default Air savant build help

Im thinking about TRing my Favored soul in to an air savant, I like the abilty my FS had to heal and do damage just not healing other people .

    So heres what I got:

    Race:
    Wareforge (I want self healing).

    stats (32pt):
    Strength 8
    Dexterity 8
    Constitution 20
    Intelligence 10
    Wisdom 6
Charisma 16 (All level ups here)

    Feats:
Im not sure if this is the best order but seems ok to me.

    Level 1 - Maximize Spell
    Level 3 - Toughness
    Level 6 - Empower Spell
Level 9 - Force of Personality (Im not sure about this anything better?)
Level 12 - Spell Focus: Evocation
    Level 15 - Heighten Spell
Level 18 - Greater Spell Focus: Evocation

Also is the past life FS feat any good/Should I take it?

I used Ridag's "The Nor'Easter" build as a start a modified it to fit my play style, all Enhancements and spell will mostly be the same.

if your to be a robot you prolly won't need force of personality. Even fleshy's ditch it as freedom of movement pretty much covers it.

The past life slot isn't worth it for favored. Though I am having a hard time thinking of something worth while. I'd say maybe conjuration for web and even that niacs ray sla. Could even help if you decided to go earth.

Or i'd say extend. On a fleshy I wouldn't take it until I had all my other stuff in order. But as a robot who doesn't need to worry about most cc, the ability to no fail whip a scroll on themselves, and has good dr, extend would be worth while at end game. (epics and raids) Mainly cause as a sorc their's 1 thing I do well, and thats kill stuff. But Can't just 1 shot stuff in epics, so I create 5 other puppets and let them run ahead for initial aggro.

I give these puppets, stoneskin, blur, GH, displacment, rage, haste, and 120 buffer element points. Just for displace, rage and haste I could see taking extend at lv 18. (Before that I don't care lol. If I can carry 10 different pots around I expect it of everyone else.)

And you gonna want the heighten spell at lv 9. Because once you hit tear, those **** mobs already start evading. And reflex saves are the main biggest, pain in the ass thing about being an air savant. Because just about every lightning spell that counts is subject to being fully evaded. And they are, constantly.

Take everything down a notch, and then put extend at lv 18.

Also 2 other things. One while concentration is nice, and almost an absolute needed on a wiz or a favored. Not really so much on a sorc. However what is nice is capping jump to get out of somewhere quick. I'd toss 10 points into jump that way when using the spell it's capped.

Also balance. Robot or not, those **** dogs hurt when they trip you. And now thanks to the dedicated efforts of ddo's staff, 2 legged mobs like to improve trip you, alot. And im pretty sure somehow those **** archers are tripping with arrows. Balance is a nice thing, id toss skill points into there as well.

Other then that everything looks ship shape. Lots of hp, maxed cha, even a couple left for some extra skill points.

And i'm guessing you already have your wizard vi sp GS and your 45 hp item so your already ahead in the leveling process.

I'd just make sure you had all your major lore items, a GS exceptional cha weapon wouldn't hurt either. Get all your superior clickies in order for the +75% dmg for 3 minutes. Get your stat gear in order like +2 item boosts to schools (with crafting you can buy a shard of greater whatever, take an item and then wipe it and craft it. Turns out to be lv 11)

That gfl belt that is sometimes on sale ML 11 is nice. Traded for a +6 con gfl belt from amrath at lv 18 to free up your neck slot.

Also i'd get all my epic gear in order. Your a healer right now. That basically means every epic group is basically your (edited) So use that and farm up that epic helm of frost, envenomed cload and prolly boots. Farm those epic jewlery sets, the torc, and all that other ****.

    Try this:
    Level 1 - Toughness
    Level 3 - Empower
    Level 6 - Maximize
Level 9 - Spell Focus: Evocation
Level 12 - Greater Spell Focus: Evocation
    Level 15 - Heighten Spell
    Level 18 - Spell Penetration

    Rationale:
    • Don't take maximize at level 1. WHY: Low-level spells are very cheap. Much more efficient to recast them several times instead of casting a maximized version.
    • By the time you turn level 6 (plus 1 rank), you want to have both empower and maximize. WHY: You will gain access to SLAs which can be empowered and maximized for free.
    • You can actually opt to take heighten earlier if you wish to take on a CC role, and use web/deep slumber as your primary spell.
    • Spell penetration can be replaced by Extend or Quicken depending on your preferred playstyle.

Are you sure you want to go air savant on a warforged? Many high-level mobs have evasion, and without a high evoc DC, air spells won't be very effective on them. Of course you can still make it work, just pointing out that air savant is potentially more effective on a human or drow (and you can UMD heal scrolls anyway, not as quick to cast as repair but if you're leaping around anyway it shouldn't be a problem).
