Default Help me figure out my cleric end gear.

    Hey all.

So it's not like I have bad gear for my cleric, but it is far from optimized. I have tried searching for good gear set ups for clerics but haven't found anything so I asking for some help.

    Things I currently have.

Helm: minos(working towards epic helm of mor)
    Goggles: con opp sp
neck: noxious embers/lorriks/other clickies(no torq yet)
    body: dragontouch
    gloves: gaunt of eternity
boots: strider/ff(will get propulsion, just lazy)
rings: tod with +2 exc wis and con
    trinket: cove +35sp
    wrist: +6 str(blah, i know)
    cloak: +6 cha
    belt: +6 con/gfl amrath belt
main hand: heal scrolls mostly :P
off hand: epic cove dagger(not fully upgraded yet)
also have madstone shield for blocking

My focus is gonna be offensive casting/healing. I can craft up a greater evo item. I also know I need to get the fab bracers for the spell pen.

What else should I be looking for. epic abish set is out due to other toons of mine needing it much more. I know I am missing a GS hp item.

I run epics all the time, so I don't mind grinding things out.

    Any help would be appreciated.

You are missing a debuffing weapon and a instakill weapon for when you are not casting. Keeping a boss cursed and destructed will help your party.

The HoX shields are much better than the madstone one, and they drop like candy on elite.

You can make a tier 2 alchemical weapon for +2 wisdom by grinding out LoB on normal.

A con-opp stick is overkill on a casting cleric, but I would make a triple positive healing amp stick. A Human cleric with the healing amp enhancements and an eardweller gets 65+ hp from an aura tick.

If you've slotted torc, my assumption is you're going to be mixing it up in melee too. If you're willing to junk your goggles, I'd suggest farming Tharne's for the sneak attack (swap out SP goggles once finished buffing), and crafting conopp gloves with healing lore to replace the Reaver gauntlets if you really like healing lore. Your BB potency stick/Amrath clickies can replace the devotion on the gloves. If you don't want to recraft your goggles, you can put your GS HP on gloves instead... crit heals are nice, but with healing, the floor is more important than the ceiling, and most healing is done with Mass Heal, which has no random dice.

Or what's on your DT? You can swap your STR out of bracers and craft GS HP on wrists instead. Some people like the new Bracelet of Madness from HoX for castery types.

Cove trinket should not be worn full-time. Sounds like you have some crafting levels; you might want to consider efficient metamagic/greater spell focus + attack bonus/good luck/resistance if not on DT.

Your heal amp stick can double as your conopp weapon; I have one myself... neg/pos/conopp is 50% amplification (only 10% off triple positive). It's fantastic for shieldblocking on the front lines with aura on.

I don't plan on meleeing that much. There are many chances for the torq/con opp to proc simply through arrows/random hits. Right now I don't have anything of any consequence on my DT, so I am very open to that. Is there a chest armor that is widely regarded as useful to a casting cleric? Should I be trying for blue dragonscale robe or something? Anything epic that is worth it? What about the cavalry plate? Should I pretty much plan on gearing him out as an arcane with a focus on wis instead of int/cha?

Well, you should be meleeing What on earth are you doing when no one needs healing and you've greater commanded the whole room

For casting, the tier 3 spell penetration rune is great for content with spell resistance. There just aren't enough feat slots on a divine to get spell pen and DCs up wizard-high. Greater potency is also an option for damage/healing spells. This would free up your hands for whatever (melee weapons, heal/conopp stick, spell DC weapon sets). Otherwise I would suggest destruction or a good guard (my favourites are air and radiance, others like earthgrab, ash, stoneskin). For tiers 1 and 2, whatever you can't fit on your other equipment slots--DT is great for consolidating effects. Usually on cloth DT so you can hotswap easily.

I'm not a big fan of blue dragonscale... I prefer keeping potency + lore/spell pen + focus on weapon sets that I can switch quickly (loot gen + skiver/green blade). So in my view, everything on blue dragonscale can be duplicated with a simple weapon set swap. To some extent, it's up to your playstyle... if you don't mind swapping weapon sets for the situation, whether you can stand farming for raid loot or tome pages/scales (which can be bought). Of course, you already have arcane lore on your embers, but that would necessitate swapping your torc when you get it.

I like the epic cavalry plate in cases where there's a lot of incoming damage and every bit of DR helps--these days I mainly wear it in noncasting situations, like eDQ2. For everyday use, I use Epic Vulkoorim Fighting Leathers, which fit well with my playstyle (meleeing/arcane-scroll-using divine, less arcane spell failure than epic cavalry).
