ddo wont load

ok i bought a new computer..it cost 1000$ and has high end parts in it..it downloaded doo quick and installed it quick...but when i log in and hi choose server..the black screen pops up and then ddo says its not responding...please help

No computer expert but do you have a firewall or such that is blocking DDO? I know I have had to change settings in the past to allow for it.

let me go check, i typed in directx in search o sarch results..so i may not have direct x...im updating driver to caclist..and downloading directx 11...

btw dont even see ddo in firewall...i clicked add program and i dont see it

The name in the Firewall is "dndclient"

downloaded direcx 11 now it runs great and beutiful grpahics thank you all!!
