    Default 28 pt Earth Savant Drow build?

    don't have access to the 32pt builds, nor warforged, so I was wondering if anyone could help me build an earth savant sorcerer, and give me a run down on how they do for solo play and the like

    Race: human if you have not got helf, (else i personally would go dwarf battle sorc).

    Abilities: max con, charisma only enough for say solid 20plus, some int for skills (unless helf)

    Skills: max concentration and umd (unless helf take fvs dil) (umd aim is 28 for csw wands)

    Feats: start with maximum, possibly take empower, and need spell focus (either one), the rest ???

    AP: 17 for earth sav, 2 for cap, 1 for wand amp, 19 acid amp, rest in fire, force, ice as you see fit

    Spells: take no save spells (except of the beach take sonic blast and get the wand).
    I typically use melf sla, blk dragon, acid rain, scorching ray, polar, cdot/edot, force/chain missiles, incend cloud,
    met swarm and the like.

    Bust your way to L18 get earth grab and the you win. Earth grab mob and acid rain it.

    Solo: use csw wands and fight near shrines.

    may I ask the reasoning behind not maxing charisma at the start? are there really enough acid spells that don't allow saves? b/c if so human or dwarf wouldnt be terrible I guess

    Human is my recomendation, (dwarf is my personal choice, a dwarf sorc might suffer from game classism, but you stated solo game style anyway)

    You specifically mentioned earth savant, this means earth grab and acid spells, this means con is important and cha is not (you need a minimum of 19 for spell use). What I did not say was, put most of the 5 level ups into con as well.
    (A 28pt human with no ubber gear can get a dc of 41-42 verses a reflex save)

    Only 3 of the 11 spells I listed were acid. Met swarm only has a reflex save on it's fire part. Spamming them can
    give so much dps that the only other toon that can beat you is a more ubber sorc. and possibly only if their spam is better for the situation.

    If you want to stay more generalized (that is try out other types) then my recomendation is max out cha. You can be a different type of sorc every 3 days.

    ahhh, so earth grab is the reason for a higher con then. any other spells beyond that one that go off con instead of charisma?

    For a sorc. all dps spells are charisma saved based or have no save component. 9th level Energy drain, which can be
    treated as a semi dps as it de-levels the mob needs spell penetration. (which is a possibility for your 4 other feats).

    The ice/fire and acid sorc get special abilities at level 18 which are con based. IMO earth grab is not a spell or
    sla, I suspect it is some form of controlled guard. IMO earth grab is currently the best single mob control in the game.
