Healing Amp. When is TOO MUCH, too much?

This is my paladin. 300% healing amp.

Is it too much when i can heal 91% of my health with 22 spell points? And I have concordant opp/ Torc and i can sustain myself while intimidating and holding aggro.

I think its too much. too bad clerics dont. Saves them alot of mana when they can healscroll me for 600. lol

The answer is what did you have to give up to get it?

If you're a tank and you can hold aggro then whatever you gave up tot get it doesn't matter, rock on with your bad-self.

But at a certain point you're just gonna get over-healed, that usually happens at around 400 a heal scroll.

I sacrificed nothing. I have DPS, I have Heals, I have Tankage, I have Threat.


I think the only thing i really gave up was AC. But i built my GS around "Guard" effects anyway

I actually named my build "The Messochist" because he loves getting hit

On a class that's strapped for feats and action points, I'll bet the cost was hefty.

Yeah that's a bogus answer... Your build looks to be quite solid, but you gave up SOMETHING to get that high heal amp.

You need to be honest with yourself for us to take you seriously.

But Its a Messochist build. relies alot on guards/threat/getting hit to hold aggro. I gave up.... Nothing. I mean, i can pull out a 2h sword and hit for 800 exhaulted crits. My SNB crits for 400's with exhaulted smites, about 600 on crits.

I truly sacrificed nothing but AC.

I believe you, I've hit some people for about that much with my ranger's CSW who had absurd amp.

CORRECT. LOW DPS. In a sense, i mean. I do crit for 140's and i know that not high, but its high with a 1h weapons. not only that, but i have a 40% chance of shieldbashing ,and shielbash can crit. and if i use divine sacrifice, it hits with both sword and shield ,same thing for exhaulted smite. So there are some really high numbers and high threat.

Works great. Hound is the only thing thats hard for me. Bees make it hard to heal

ToD is a little more difficult, they always send me on the jailer because i can heal myself, but usually the other guy takes a while to go down and sometimes i have to be saved by the fly-by FVS.


VoD is cake. I just swing my weapon and he's on me like stink on ****. Intimidate is only for those pesky cold savants that DOT immediately when he spawns down on us..... And i agree, DPS should not be related to just skills, cause i only have a limited number of smites. But when those numbers are high they are HIGH!

No one said he's gimp. But he sure doesn't know if he's gimp or not. He actually thinks he gave up NOTHING to be a solid tank (he does look like a solid tank).

I agree, Solid tank.

I just have no idea what i gave up. I mean, i could be a little biased. And thats why i came to the forums. But from my standpoint.... to steal a quote from P!nk its"****in perfect".
