    Default Change to Death Pact

Did this spell get changed or am I bugged? Twice recently I have not gotten the box saying do you wish to be raised? It has just instantly raised me resulting in a double death instead of just the one. Basically whatever killed you kills you again. If this is a change I want to drop the spell as it is worthless. Who wants a higher repair bill with no benefit?
    Anyone know?

This is actually the reason I gave up using this spell 2 years ago. Because I never got a dialog asking if I wanted to be raised, I only got Insta-back to life with a few HP. This is not so bad if killed by Melee, Ray or Instant Death effect, terrible if trapped within persistent AoE damage.

You honestly would think that the Pact is with the God of Chaos and Trickery and not your deity/philosophy of choice

I haven't used this spell in probably a year, but it worked correctly when I used it, popping up a dialog box asking me if I wanted to rez or not.

Last time I used this spell, it would prompt you if you died due to something a mob did, but would not prompt you if you died in a trap.

    This is correct.

Useless when you die in traps. Coz apparently, it makes it "overpowered".

I think the concern with traps was that you'd use it to run through the trap, die, run your ghost to the other side and accept the raise.

so? you can do that for anyone else, and have anyone else do it for you anyways. this isn't really much of a problem.

^ so not working in traps/etc is what was intended.. i thought it was a bug. It also doesn't work in Shroud blades (causes an auto-res) so anything that's part of the environment that's not a mob that deals damage.

In traps, maybe if you move out of the way quickly after you die you might stand a chance (like with blades) but highly unlikely.

On the other hand, it works for falling off and dying places.

Really? You can do that for yourself when soloing? Pretty impressive.

It seems to be if a Mob does damage to you, you get a box "Do you want to accept Raise". If environmental damage (traps, lava, etc) kills you, it immediately brings you back.

I have had it be useful with traps. For example, I once was opening up VoD, and rather than my old "go climb the cliff and jump off to reach a light", I tried just JetBooting right there. I clipped the red field ever so slightly. It killed me, and I was instantly raised, but by the time I was raised I was through it so I survived. It actually took me a bit to figure out what had happened. I noticed the damage immediately, but not that I lost all my buffs.

Far stranger.... is I'm pretty sure in MA the Titan's cannons are somehow considered environmental damage. At least once, and I think twice (as in, 2 different raid groups) I noticed that I suddenly lost all my buffs and was very low on HPs. In both instances I was trying to stay in the middle and survive while keeping various people healed. In theory the middle is best (due to out of range errors), but I've since learned to work harder to keep an eye on any Titan aimed toward the middle....
