Guild with loose altar policy?

Anyone out there still let folks borrow their Shroud Altars? Still several levels this life before it matters but we don't plan on running the shroud any as it will be a pain to find a group (Arti/Ranger, Fighter/Wiz & an AA Cleric start a shroud group and listen to crickets mate).

When I need an altar I shout out in the advice channel and I never have/had a prob getting an invite.

Not sure what our guild's policy is but I am sure if I know someone its ok but will ask an officer to be sure we have tier I and III for II just go to shavrath.

Be polite, type in complete English, and ask nicely in the marketplace and I've never had it take more than 5 minutes during normal play hours.

Thanks for all the replies folks! We keep a Tier I on our boat & run to Shav for tier II. I've asked in advice in the past and been met with varied responses of general negativity lol. Being from a smaller guild generally leaves us not knowing too many people on the server & out of the cliques.

Besides, ya'll are brutal yet honest. Slightly warped as well, but who isn't.

Personally I only do this for close friends in the game, as our ship only has one altar up at a time (if that) and that means I have to sit there while they craft to change the altars for them--and these days I don't have that much time to play. Yes people could go to Amrath for one tier, but thus far it has been people needing all 3, and having them run out to Amrath for one tier takes longer wait time.

But as others have said, the shouts and LFMS must work since people eventually stop, just keep doing that.

Well, I'm sorry if it's against the rules, but before I had a big old ship I always posted a polite (perfectly spelt) LFM when I needed an altar. Guess what? Perfectly polite, nice folks with big ships always invited me to use their altars.
If I see an lfm up I'll always invite someone if I'm able to. It's MY ship (bought with MY REAL MONEY) and I'll invite who I like onto it.

Another option for you - Crate and Barrel Smashing runs shroud every wednesday and saturday at 10 pm Eastern. We'll take anyone along (we generally pug the last 4 or so spots, and the 8 people we have can easily complete with a bunch of un-trained monkeys) so you can join us for the raid if you'd like.
