    Default Workaround for mouse pointer being difficult to see

    Heya;

    Not sure if anyone has suggested this workaround before, but I have struggled with this issue for a while and thought I should post. I and others frequently lose sight of the mouse pointer due to its color and size. Turns out, when DDO is in Windowed mode, the OS-level 'show location' feature of the mouse functions normally! To enable the feature, tick the following checkbox in Windows:

    Control Panel -> Mouse -> Pointer Options -> Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key.

    When you press CTRL and then release it, you will see a series of circles that zero in on your mouse position. This animation overlays any application, DDO included, and will help you locate the pointer!

    When DDO is in full-screen mode, Windows disables this mouse feature. The workaround will only work in windowed mode.

    Some caveats:
    * When you are actively moving the mouse, this feature will not be apparent. Be sure to hold your mouse hand still, tap CTRL, and look for the circles.
    * The feature works when you release the CTRL key if no keys other than CTRL are pressed. A CTRL+key combination will prevent this animation. Example, CTRL+S will open the store, and will not trigger the animation.

    Bye!

    I posted same info a week or so ago.

    It doesnt work all the time for some reason.

    Not sure why, but its intermittent.

    Really needs to be looked at by the devs. Glad someone else posted this, (the devs have me squelched)
