Hey guys. I've been trying to get my necro DC up high enough to be effective in Amrath, but I just learned that it's their spell resistance that is giving me trouble, not DC. Is this something that can be overcome, or is necromancy simply not effective against devils? I didn't take any of the spell penetration enhancements... but before i reset and re-spec.. is it going to help much?

You can solo the whole quest using nothing but SLAs for the trash and DOTs for the boss. My 18/2 Wiz/Rog was doing it before he had a torc or con-op goggles. Just learn to back-peddle... a lot so your healing can keep pace with the incoming damage.

Sorry, but what exactly is "SLA"?

Spell Like Ability. Your necro bolt and necro blast (the AE one). With your healing aura, it is mana free damage.

I think you need better spell penetration, for high level content (mostly devils) you need 23-24 or more, 26 for epic devils. and dc around 40.... give them some negative level helps when dcs are not enought

What he said, except add around 4 to every number if you want to be really effective.
