I've figured out why there are less LFMs up lately

Yes indeed hires are much improved from what they were... BUT...

They still rush up and into combat, get smacked once or twice(and got 1 hp left) and start screaming 'I NID HJELLZ NAO!' then proceed to searing light the closest mob NOT agro'ed on them already...


... or they see your at 2 hp, and start to pop CLW's on you, while your fighting 5 mobs... or just run up, smack mob, die... or if they manage to heal u to 80% with that CLW spam, they top it off with a (Very much not needed) Heal.


... or they heal your pets, charmed mobs, etc long before they decide you need help... or just blankly stare at you when your laying there bleeding out...


But they are much better than they were :P

I solo because I don't really like people all that much, not because I -do- like the hirelings.


Plus, I don't have to worry about:

'brb, kid's awake.'
'afk, wife aggro.'
'brb, bio.'
'afk, food's here.'
'***, y u no heal me through spinning deathtrap?'
'shr pls.'
'u wanted to do elite like the lfm said? i went on casual.'

I also don't have to worry about people being drunk, crude, annoying, immature, or 'unfair.'
And I don't have to worry about the weirdcreepy ones hitting on me.

Aaaand.. if I die/take XP penalty/fail, it's entirely my fault. It's not that some dillhole decided it would be fun to repeatedly kill himself, raise himself, kill himself, and raise himself via wraith. :|

Reasons for not putting up LFMs:

- play style not compatible with that of an average pugger

Hirelings are ^ good personal healers, but cant do much for a group.

My biggest motivation to solo (with hire) is so I dont need to wait for a group to form. This cuts a lot of 'wasted' time out of my ddo time. It also means I can afk when I want, for as long as I want; rush through a quest or go very slowly because Im watching a movie too, etc.

First off... Hirelings are no heal, agro pulling pieces of (insert your term here).
Second, If I go on a short man quest and there is room for 2 hirelings, I grab my panther and Albus(he has restore). So using a personal healer works fine in a group and you can rez the newbs that get themselves slaughtered when your clickies finally run out.
