Fighting the Abbot?

I feel like a borderline-piker in that raid on my Wizard, just can't do enough damage to him without goign through Blue-bar at such fast rate that it's completely un-sustainable. But I need a Litany so *** else can i do?

Am I missing something obvious when fighting him? Black Dragon bolt seems to do okay and he almost always fails a disintegrate save, any other obvious tricks?

Post U12 Abbot hasn't been bad even on Elite when we had melee-heavy groups, caster-heavy groups have sucked and its might simply be as simple as only bring 1-2 casters and pretend it's 2009 Shroud.

In your case, you might want to take on a more supportive role.

Keep the (most likely) few melee hasted and buffed with protection.

Cast break enchantment on the fogs.

Focus on killing trash quick so your healers don't have problems with them.

Be on island-casting duty if you use that tactic.

Use the boulders from roids puzzle to attack the Abbot (i don't know if this was changed recently though).

Arcanes aren't really built for long fights like that one, so if you can't nuke the boss down, it's a good idea to assist those who can.
