Default 'Passive' procs on off-hand (e.g. life shield or vengeful)

I didn't know whether to put this in the Crafting forum or here. Please let me know if I should move this thread into crafting.

The question is about effects applied to shield or off-hand weapon during cannith crafting-- specifically those that come into effect when the wielder is hit in battle. Examples that come to mind are Lifeshield and Vengeful.

Let's take Vengeful as the example: When its wielder is hit in battle, this weapon has a 10% chance to cause him/her to enter Rage. Thus on a main hand weapon it will cause rage 10% of the time. The question is whether the percentage is still 10% when applied to an off-hand weapon or to a shield.

If a wielder has no TWF feats an off-hand weapon procs 20% of the time. Does this imply that rage will only occur 2% of the time if Vengeful it is on an off-hand weapon? What is the percentage for a shield?

Obviously I am hoping that the percentage remains at 10% and is not adjusted downwards to reflect it is on equipment held in the off-hand.

Finally, as a second question, how does one maximise Life Shield using the two different recipes in Cannith Crafting:
Recipe 1: Life Shield, which can be applied to: Heavy Armor, Medium Armor, Light Armor, Clothing, Docent, Off Hand Weapon/Shield; and
Recipe 2: Life Shield (weapon), which can be applied to Main Hand Weapon, Off Hand Weapon/Shield.

Accordingly, the scenarios could be shown as:

    A. Life Shield on Heavy Armour (Recipe 1) and a Shield (Recipe 1)
    B. Life Shield on Heavy Armour (Recipe 1) and a Shield (Recipe 2)
    C. Life Shield on Main Hand Weapon (Recipe 2) and an Off-Hand Weapon (Recipe 2)
    D. Life Shield on Main Hand Weapon (Recipe 2) and an Off-Hand Weapon (Recipe 1)

Do any of these produce double the % chance for lifeshield to be invoked? Do any produce double the amount of temp hit points?

when hit effects aren't changed by TWF feats or anything like that main hand off hand doesn;t matter. if you get hit there is x% chance it processes period. if you have 2 items they both get rolls but the effects do not stack, one over writes the other.

you example life shield @ 10% would mean 1 out of every 10 hits you get the lifeshield.
if you had 2 life shield items on or in hand each hit would roll for the 1 in 10 chance. but if a lifeshield effect is active the second would just overlay the original resetting the timer. so if both went off on the same hit on you one would trigger first , then the other would overlay that one.
Move along , Nothing to see here
