Default What TOD Set Are You Using?

Since Favored Souls do not, and probably will never, have their own unique TOD set I have been going over the many various sets that I could make use of. I would really like a ring with Exceptional Wisdom +1 to add +2 Exceptional on it, however the only rings that have Exc. Wis. +1 are Telvi's Touch (Water Savant), Kilau's Band (Tempest) and the Dragonmarked Ring. None of these offer anything else decent to my Evoker Build. I was thinking Wild Mage, as I understand that the Ring will give me +1 Exc. Wis. if I reequip it a few times, but the set bonus, +2 Spell Pen 8, is a waste since I am putting +3 Spell Pen 8 on my Dragontouched. None of the Cleric Sets have my interest except for Amara's Belt, and even then only as a swapable clickie for the 75% Heal boost.

Soooooooo, some feedback would really help me figure out where I want to go as far as TOD goes. I'm curious what other FvS Evoker builds are using. Maybe I should just go +3 Exc. Cha. for more SP, but I'd really rather have a boost to my DC's.

    Ideas?

Personally, I don't use a ToD set on my evoker...my wf goes for melee sets, though.

On my evoker, I currently use Cinder's Band to fill a couple holes in my equipment, Morah's belt for the +6 con until I can spare 20 tokens (and to conveniently have my jump clickie already equipped), Dragonmarked ring as a permanent source of +1 and +2 exceptional wisdom as well as +6 charisma, and sometimes use a superior potency vi set necklace....

I could see some use in using the archmage set, but quite frankly, I don't think it's worth using 3 gear slots to get slightly more powerful spell crits over just using 1. So really, only thing I use ToD rings for at all is for stat bumping.

Only other thing I use Amrath sets for on my evoker are clickies.

Edit: Don't waste trophies on +2 exceptional charisma. 29 sp is not worth ~9 ToDs (assuming no freebies and doing normal)

I disagree. Do it. Eventually you will have done lots of ToDs, right? 9 ToDs is well worth doing to get +1 UMD, +1 Haggle, +1 Intim/Diplo/Bluff. And if you TR, +1 saves for a Pally, +1 DC for a Bard and Sorc, etc.. A +2 Cha is next on my list, personally. Mind you, if you don't have +2 Wis and +2 Con already, +2 Cha would be lower priority for a FvS, I think.

If you have enough trophies without the need of unlocking a ring on someone, sure...but that's an extremely niche use for down the road, and imo only worth it if all of your toons have their rings done, for the most part.

I just noticed the Warchanter set gives you a reduced cost of 4 SP for Maximize. That seems pretty sweet since I run around with Max on 100% of the time.

Warchanter, Telvi's / Dragonmarked and Rakhir's are all worth considering IMO, and it's what I'm collecting for my Evoker's final life. Depends on your other gear slots, I guess (e.g. how much you wear a Torc). My hybrid melee FvS has con on a Telvi's and charisma on Morgana's, but she has Epic Raven's sight for the exceptional wisdom and slightly different build priorities.

    I have an evoker/healer fvs.

Raiding: Rakhir's set and Warchanter's set
Normal questing: Rakhir's set only (torc on neck)

    Healer belts for clickies.

I don't bother with any sets. They all use neck and belt, where I have much MUCH higher priorities for equipment slotting.

On my current FvS, I use a Thamor's Ring (+6 Cha, +1 Con). It's unslotted with anything extra, and I waffle between whether I want +2 Wis or +2 Con on it. Given the rate at which I run ToD (maybe once every other month), building up 9 trophies takes a long time.

I don't see much of a need for a ToD item with +1 Wis on it. Plenty of clear epic slots to stick that into.

As far as a FvS specific set goes, I definitely wouldn't hold my breath on it EVER being added, and even if it is, it will likely be terrible. +6 Wis +1 Exceptional Charisma on the ring, and Wizardry VI with clicks of Superior Radiance VIII on a belt. None of that is anything I'd voluntarily wear, or even own.

I'd use the belt for clickie...that's it.

I am still looking for the right ring but as a Wis dumped FvS I don't need exceptional wisdom. I'm likely going to pick up the ravager set or maybe even morgana's if I'm having problems hitting stuff.

For a non-evoker, I've heard good things about the warpriest set if your to-hit is low...most of the time, ravager and shintao should definitely be the goal.

For non-evoker, I don't honestly think there's a set good enough to really use, except for possibly archmage set use.

I'd use the belt for clickie...that's it.
I don't even care about the clickie. I don't use MCSW or MCCW, so Superior Potency VI for MCMW is fine for me.

A lot of it will come down to how "Geared" you plan to get your character. If you don't see yourslef doing a lot of epics later on then Thamors or Tevlis are probably the better options as a single item ring. You get +1 Exceptional con on one and wisdom on the other. You can add either another 2 con to that or 2 wis (Should ideally be looking to get 3 Exceptional in both these stats). Both come with base +6 cha and are handy to have until better gear is aquired later on.

If you've set your heart on some set effect, then probably the best one is the archmage one (sadly). It offers a 0.5 critical multipler for those cometfalls and blade barriers as well as heals (Usually this is irrelevant).

If on the other hand you plan to run a lot of epics and don't see any items as being out of reach, ToD gear will be replaced at some point.

The Time sensing goggles for example are a nice item to get your Exceptional wisdom. It's a nice item with +2 Excpetional wisdom and with 2 slots, can add the +1 there as well and some other randomly useful effect (GFL for example).

Without going into much of a gear layout, a combination of Time sensing goggles with +3 Exceptional wisdom & GFL combined with thamors with +6 Cha and +3 Exceptional con is fairly decent. If you can get your base +6 wisdom onto a conc opp Gs Accessory, your 3 main stats (2 of which will have 3 exceptional) are all taken of in 3 items as well as having a few other nice features.

Warchanter ring and sub the necklace for torque when just healing in a raid. The superior pot VI on the necklace is nice when holding a greenblade in your offhand and scroll in your primary instead of the ornamental dagger. It fills in the gaps when you don't have time to hit your belt clickie for heals. It also lets you DOT at plus 50% without changing out your scroll for the dagger.
