Wail of the Banshee sound

Shouldn't Wail of the Banshee have an appropriate SCREAM to it?
Just a suggestion. It would be easy to add in.

It used to, long ago. I don't know why it was removed.

Wail used to have a nice, lingering moan attached to it. It wasn't a scream, but had a sort of 'haunting' quality to it that really fit well. They changed the sound FX sometime ago, along with many other spell effects - Stoneskin in particular has had it's sound changed a few times over the last year or so.

I now call it Woosh of the Banshee. It doesn't wail, it doesn't moan, it wooshes. I'd love to see the old sound come back.

But seeing a sound effect-- oh, actually, I guess you could see the fact mentioned in the release notes.

I wonder why they changed it in the first place?

I've actually mentioned this before..

IMO, a spell named Wail of the Banshee.... a yell.. that kills a whole bunch of people...

Of special note, not sure if it still works this way but apparently you used to be able to sneak up behind a monster... cast Yell of the Banshee..... and if he made his save, he wouldn't even notice.

On the other hand, I thought it was kinda funny when they failed their save......cause you basically snuck up behind him, yelled in his ear......and he died of fright.
