    Default Framework elite: Stealth

So my guildie and I have been having a go at this quest for the stealth optional. FvS + Rogue/monk team.

Step 1: I collect 5 parts (with acrobat movement speed)
Step 2: We invis and go to the north east gate and jump over with House P jump buff
Step 3: We go to the south east ballistae and try to shoot our way into the fortress (possibly requiring a stoning of the runt that hangs around there).
Step 4: We use the 8 seconds of super stealth to try to run to the back of the boss area so as to not aggro mobs outside the boss area when we do stuff.
Step 5: We stone the 2 runts in the boss area
Step 6: Hit the boss with a shuriken that no one else sees to aggro him, beat him down
    Step 7: ...
    Step 8: Profit?

That's the plan so far. We've managed to get Step 3 (twice) but each time I've been shot into the boss area and my FvS guildy hasn't. Is it not possible to accurately fire 2 people at once? Do we need to take turns?

When I earlier tried to solo this I got to beating the boss down but at some amount of HP he seemed to run away and Cabal Seers teleported to me. This was when I realised that I'd forgotten deathward and had to run away so failed as was madstoned. Does this always happen? Where does he run to?

If you haven't watched Mr Cow's videos on Framework, you really should. They are inspiring. And he makes it look so easy.

The two people are thrown at the same trajectory, but their own lag and keyboard inputs can change their course.

Maybe what you can do is make sure to stone the runts outside the throne gate, then hurl one player inside the throne room to stone the two in there. Then you can let the other guy trigger the fight from outside, and the gate will open to let him in.

He runs to his throne at around 50% hp, which can be used to your advantage because he doesn't attack while trying that run. So if you've got up up on the ledge with some stone mobs blocking his way down, he's trapped and pretty vulnerable.

On lower difficulties you could simply stone the seers, but the elite ones are red. Killing the seers ahead of time will prevent them from being summoned to the end fight, but of course that'll make it harder to get to the end without alarms.

I thought about this an leaving the traps in place. On elite would these traps be enough to kill any mobs trying to come in from outside? I've wanted to avoid aggroing any outside mobs for fear of being overwhelmed.

Thanks for letting me know about this mechanic. How many seers are there? With deathward they don't particularly bother me it'll just be a pain to beat them down with the self healing and so forth.

It's not your fault that you aren't both being tossed into the arena. Frankly, I probably get properly tossed on 1/3 - 1/2 of my runs. That launcher is really, really finicky. It took me quite a few tries to break the sub-three minute speedrun mark thanks to that misfiring launcher.

Devs: Thanks for making Druids available to VIPs without the pack. This more than anything, has made me want to buy the pack.

I farm out Framework every TR with friends. We follow your first three steps. Once in the courtyard, we just nuke the chieftain down and dimension door out. Occasionally we'll grab the chests, but usually don't. It's a 3 minute quest done that way for fantastic XP/min.

Bit tricky for a solo rogue on elite but otherwise I'm with you on that one

Mr. Cow has probably taught me more about zerging than anyone else. What's astonishing is how fast he picks up on the zergiest way to run stuff. It's incredibly fun working on beating his speedrun times. Without Mr. Cow, I never would have thought it POSSIBLE to do Frame Work in under three minutes.

It's a 3 minute quest done that way for fantastic XP/min.
This is an exaggeration. It's a three minute quest if done PERFECTLY. It is INCREDIBLY difficult to achieve a three minute run. When your quest completion time reads three minutes, that's probably reflecting something like a 3:58 second quest completion time. Let's say you pull in 6k XP. At 3 minutes, that's 2K XP/min. At 4 minutes, that's 1500 XP/min. This is a big difference, and it's not reflected in the quest completion time that gets reported.

Add to this fact that you won't always get tossed properly, and you're looking at lots of runs that get closer to the 4-5 minute mark. It averages 1-1.5k XP/min, which doesn't put it at the top of the heap, but makes it well worth repeated runs.

Ended up doing this with an Artificer and a Wizard. Was a bit chaotic and it certainly wasn't quick with the end fight maybe taking 10 minutes.

On elite the Seers are red named and enthusiastically heal the chief and we weren't quite coordinated enough to focus all of our damage on the chief to (possibly) overcome the incoming healing.

In the end the chief was one of the last mobs to go down but no worries, it's done now.

Hum... you DID see the video, and it's ACTUAL length of 3:10 seconds, right? Sure, that's a perfect run, and sure, it can't be easily replicated every time, but to go from 3 to 5 minutes it's a bit of a stretch too.

When being launched into the fortress via "spy-insertion device", move forward in mid-air and while landing. This reduces the likelihood you will bounce backwards and drift off elsewhere into the minotaur city. Also, do not turn your camera while being projected as this does alter your course.

In the video given (Melee-version) it can be argued that it isn't a perfect run. I miss two jumps (one at the very start, putting me in the river, one on the jump to the fortress ballista) and I loot the chests (which take a few more seconds).

    Here’s what you do:

    Enter the quest.

Talk to Dorris and pick up the wand.

Start playing this in the background

    Complete before the song ends.

    Profit.

Edit: If you want to complete it as skillfully as Mr. Cow. Sing “Cow, CowCowCow” to the music.
Things worthy of Standing Stone going EXTREME PREJUDICE™ on.:
    • Epic and Legendary Mysterious ring upgrades, please.
    • Change the stack size of filigree in the shared bank to 50. The 5 stack makes the shared bank worthless for storing filigree in a human usable manner.
    • Fixing why I don't connect to the chat server for 5 minutes when I log into a game world.
    • Fixing the wonky Lightning Sphere and Tactical Det firing by converting them to use alchemist spell arcing.
    • Redoing the drop rates of tomes in generic and raid loot tables.
