Issue with signature

Well the only signatures not working are for both my Artificers....

My main just TR'd into Arti now his sig is not working...

verified all sigs

just arti sigs not working...

hopefully the web dev is on it and fixing it

My sig was of Larystessian {Wiz/Rogue} - Changed to Jelina {Cleric/Fighter} - Sorted

Haven't checked all my other sigs but pretty sure it's not just artis.

weird how my sig was working fine...... pally , fighter..... now tr to arti and its not working?

all other sigs are working , except my 2 artis

same with the arti Icon ..... it shows up as error with red x

so yes definently something wrong with Arti stuff.....

also ..... if you try to change your avatar icon.... there is no Arti Icon for the class

all the other classes have their icon tho

This, but while doing that I checked all my characters...
Some have a broken sig since U12.1 & MyDDO website problem some have kept their sig.

This has been upgraded to an officially known issue.

I noticed this issue immediately after a certain update was made to our website, but couldn't respond until now. If you could remember and report when your signature started 'breaking' it would greatly help!

In my case just after the website update that was so messed up that you couldn't see your MyDDO Pages when logged in. ( you only saw the Loterry button, all the rest was missing ).

I'm too lazy to dig out when that was, but according to my previous post it was U12.1 website upgrade.

My other Arti's signature is broken also

all my sigs work except for RC on Orien and Poria on Orien both arti's

RC's sig worked fine the days before i TR'd...

Sometime between my start date and now. I tried to update it yet again today, to no avail. I've only been here since October, but I don't think I noticed the sigs until Dec.

I figured I would try changing to another sig, here are the ones that do NOT work:

Now, the interesting thing is that while doing this list I noticed that on the myddo page for each of the characters there is a [v] after the race for each of the characters that do NOT work, except for the Artificer (Sekondov). But they are also all elves, except for the Arti, which is Warforged. None of the characters that work have a [v] after the race on thier myddo page. One of the characters that works is a warforged and one of the characters that does NOT work is a warforged.

My memory is not as good as I remember it being but I believe this issue started for me on or around December 10, 2011.

You pretty much got it right here. (and a very well-constructed post, I might add!)

Signatures whose race and/or class contain a "[v]" are broken. A recent update seems to have removed the code that strips that off before the signature is generated, so the signature generator essentially can't find the information for that race/class.

I imagine we'll be looking at this very soon.

That doesn't sound like you have a set date or answer, to when this will be looked at. Wouldn't that mean a better answer would have contained "Soon™", '“Soon”', or "Soon", rather than "soon"? Or am I just nitpicking here?

I think it means that they will, in the near future, plan to have a meeting, in which they will schedule a time in the future, in which they will make a decision to come up with an exact date on which they will then meet to have a brain-storming session to gather ideas, which they will then distribute and mull over for a while, after which they will then present to the design group to review, after which they will take those findings and pass them to the web team for technical review, which in turn will then allow them to calculate the amount of effort involved, which will then determine when they can schedule the meeting in which they will then decide which problems with myddo to fix, after which it will be put into a list for prioritization for future implementation.

At least, that's how I read it.

Ah, yes I see on my Artificer that when I rollover where the class icon should be (it is not there) there is an Artificer[v].

(kind of curious why Elf and Artificer have the [v] and other races/classes do not...)

Just so I'm certain: the "[v]" on a character's myDDO listing only pertains to the signature generator and nothing else? Noticed it a while back, but haven't thought to check up on it.

Mine's been broken for probably a week or so. Dwarf artificer.
