A Good Shroud story for the holidays

Completed my first Shroud this weekend, on my artificer. I hit an LFM, told the leader it was my first time. He explained stuff on the way. Group was great. Downed Harry in 2 rounds. Thanks to the leader for making this a fun learning experience!

Also, I got a Shard of Power and Great Power from people who pulled them and didn't need them. Afterward I hit the AH for some ingredients. I found a generous benefactor who gave me a bunch of smalls and mediums I needed, and just asked for some essences in return. Then proceeded to craft my first GS: a tier 2 repeater! (On it's way to being a LitII.)

I fealt so good at this point, I logged my clonk that I haven't played in awhile, and hit and completed another Shroud! (And pulled a Supreme Shard, and got an LDS end reward.)

Basically my great DDO experience in G-land made my day. So, to those who are hesitant about hitting Shroud for the first time, just do it. Tell the leader you're new, listen and follow. (Watch a video on YouTube first just to see some of what to expect beforehand.)

Aye, my first run had a great leader. He was good about explaining things so I didn't screw anything up. Told the group I was new when we started.

He was understanding when I didn't hit the exact center of the portal after part 4 and we all died too. Just timed it wrong I guess!

That would be great as an April Fool's thing - for 1 day, unannounced, if a first-timer hit the center of the portal, an extra chest spawns at the end of Round 5.

No. If they do a one-day April Fools thing, it should be the return of server-wide announcements for every attempt (failed or successful) at the Reaver's Fate.
