Raid/Epic Training - Something INCREDIBLY AWESOME

I’m having a bit of a change of heart regarding the next training run.

Would anyone be terribly bent out of shape if Lord of Blades happens next?


Every “real pug” (aka not-channel) LoB I’ve been in has been a complete
trainwreck. The raid is awesome and crazy fun. It would be nice to get
more people running it, especially via LFM.

I've only tried LoB once, I played kiter.

I dunno if I did any good or not, since no one else in the group knew what they were doing either.

Lord of Blades was a success!

The program is 7 for 7 and going strong. I'm going to take
a slight break to grind out tons of epic XP, lives, and gear.

Look for another run soonish, though if anyone wants to use
the "New Player Raid Training" banner and do so in a respectable
way they are welcome to do so.

I envision this as a entire sever venture, not just my personal playground.

There are a lot of new players entering the raid circuit, it
will help everyone if the new kids learn to do well.

I see raids formed in channel on a regular basis,
so that is going well I think.

With all the recent players leaving is there an interest
in expanding this channel into TR and/or destiny work?

I know there were channels created for such a purpose,
but some of them have been pretty quiet lately.

Also, I'm only able to log on infrequently for the next month
or three, so feel free to use this tool as I know there are a lot
of guilds and static groups that have lost people lately.

We also have lost our "jester" I believe.

lack of activity, Defense is now open for TR!

Hey Tobril - are y'all still doing the raid training runs then? I'd definitely like to join in on some of them.

I played for a couple years then took about a year off and recently returned to the game. While I've run a number of the older raids quite a few times there are some of them I've never really learned (just tried to stay with the group) and others, both old and new, I've never run at all.

Anyway, I assume from your post that it's still Defense channel as listed in the OP? Any particular nights/times or just whenever enough are in channel?

I don't have any plans at the moment to do a specific training run
mainly due to the ease of accessibility with the new difficulty settings.

I run some raids on the weekends and there is often an extra spot
or two, if you catch me in channel on those mornings go ahead and
bug me.

You can also ask if anyone has openings for what you want to run
in channel or even just use it to start a group. There are a lot of helpful
people in there who can be tricked into running various quests.
