Default Human DPS FVS any suggestions?

While reading up the compendium lately I finally decided to roll me an FVS, I'm currently LVL 9 and loving it. It's a human melee dps FVS but not with longswords but with greatswords because I didn't want to take 3 TWF feats plus I could get considerably more damage by using an Esos rather than Min II longswords. Plus I'm sure I can hit the 32 UMD necessary to use Fireshield scrolls in TOD.

    So here is my built:

A few things: I took a higher DEX because it seemed like it would make the low levels easier with the whole AC thing, it helps out my Balance skill, and I just didn't see a huge difference between 16 base STR and 18 base.

    STR:
    16(Base)
    5(LVL up)
    1(Human Adaptability)
    7(Epic Grim's Bracelet)
    3(Tome)
    2(Ship)
    3(Greater Might of Abishai)
    3(Exceptional)
    2(Yugo Pot)
    = 42 STR

He should have 2800 SP and around 550+ HP. I'll most likely use the Terror and a Holy Evil Outsider Bane Greatsword until I pull my Esos. I'm really liking the way the Epic Infested Armor looks I might just get that for the +6 DR(from demonic shield), Heavy Fort, and Augment Slot. I also have all the equipment neccessary to make an Epic Mask of Comedy. Heres the equip set

    HEAD: Epic Mask of Comedy
    NECK: Torc
    TRINKET: Epic Brawn's Spirits
    CLOAK: Epic Envenomed
BELT: Coletheni's Belt (The Raveger set)
    RING 1: Ravager Ring
    GLOVES: Epic Charged Gauntlets
    BOOTS: Epic Boots of Corrosion
    RING 2: Epic Grim's Bracelet
    BRACERS: GS HP Smoke II
    ARMOR: Epic Infested
    GOGGLES: GS SP Conc Op

    So what do u think?

I'd suggest to be wisdom based. With appropriate gear you can get sufficient strength to contribute meaningful melee DPS and the boost to wisdom is worth much more for useful spell DCs.

Edit: Also, no point in having 2 slots dedicated to GS. Having Conc-opp HP goggles and then use another slot (like bracers, boots or gloves) for GS +150 SP airguard, +6 charisma skills item.

Finally, as human I wouldn't have WP:Greatsword at cap but rely on friendly MT, copping the -4 penalty or cakes.

You'd be surprised how few casters have MT, it really baffles me as to why, but I've given up on relying on them for buffs like that. Plus what if I'm soloing?

EDIT: great idea on the GS I never thought of that one.

I second this recommendation... sort of. Don't put the SP item on boots, bracers or the like.... got for Neck. You don't need to regain SP from your torc when you're near max. And when you're not near max, you don't need the extra max SP from the GreenSteel. Torc & GS SP Necklace have a nice synergy, only messed up if you want Torc SP regen at the same time you really need +6 UMD. But there's always something....

grim's bracelet is too big to go on your ring finger btw. You can fit it over your head and wear it around your neck.

I'd go with scorched bracers (for the 3 set abishi set) and brawling gloves (+7 STR enhancement)

also I'd go with morgana's set, especially on a build like this where "to hit" is going to be an issue.

Can't do that unfortunately, I'd loose a lot of healing ability if I put in the Epic Red Dragon Helm, The torc stays on my neck all the time not gonna swap that out, I'd loose DPS if I swapped out the Epic Charged Gauntlets due to shocking blow, and I'd loose the 7 extra damage from Ravager if I put in something other than ravager belt.

You may not understand what I was saying. In your post you have grim's bracelet in a ring slot. It can't go there.

While it may be possible to only miss on a 1 in all situations with this toon I simply don't see that happening with the current gear layout. This is why I think you should slot some +to hit items though I understand that it may come at a cost.

D'oh yeah I didn't bother reading that Grim's is a necklace, I guess I'll have to use Epic Helm of the Red Dragon and ardor clickies to keep my STR high.

Drop that DEX a bit; you don't need so much, do you?

If you don't want to put it in STR, CON or CHA, there's always INT ... because Teleport scrolls are better than walking.

You may also find the Deneith Heavy Chain is easier to make than the Infested.
