    Default STUNshot

Free for all rangers, and rangers only!

Granted at L9 (maybe later, but no sooner).

Works similar to stunning fist: DC = 10 + half char level + DEX mod + items + enhancements/feats). The Stunning postfix should be added for bow types as well, but not xbow types.

Works in conjunction with IPS; does not work with Manyshot.

huh? I don't think Johny Cochrane with a big picture of Chewbaca could make this make sense.

I like it. Don't see any reasons why not. Good thought.

You can start by stunning all the stupid npc enemy archers. I'm sick of them.

Uh, Johny's dead. Besides, he was a defense attorney;therefore good at obfuscation...Sorry, I mean he was a lawyer; therefore good at obfuscation not bringing the truth to light. ;p

I think what he's suggesting is a special move for rangers that would make a ranged stun attack. I think this would be a great addition to the deepwood sniper PRE myself and would make it a more attractive option. I'd drop the restriction about it not being able to be used with manyshot. If a ranger can line up a pile of mobs and launch off one of these, stunning 5+ mobs, I don't see an issue with it as you'll probably be on cooldown for 6 seconds at minimum, but probably 12 seconds. You could either balance the power level with a long cooldown or maybe a shorter cooldown, but have an SP cost for it. I'd prefer a short 6 second cooldown with an SP cost myself, but not sure how well that works lorewise.

I think I understand the intent, but what is a postfix? Don't you mean suffix?
Think I can figure out the disconnect there, as the other end is a prefix, and post is the opposite of pre- as well.

I don't see why not. God knows those ranged mobs seem to have pin point accuracy to cripple and slice ur back feet from 100 yards.

Not a bad idea but I think it should work with Many Shot.

I'd like to propose that instead of all Rangers getting this as a feat, it be split up. Tempest Rangers get this as a feat, but Arcane Archers should be able to conjure Stunning Arrows at around the same level. Unless, of course, they already can. My Ranger is level 13 so I don't know if that is already an option.

I wouldn't make it a PRE based feat. It should be available to all rangers, the class could really use a unique tactics feat.

It shouldn't work with manyshot though. That would mean you'd make up to 4 attempts on each target to stun it and would be rather overpowered.

I was thinking of a cooldown of 15s, like most tactics. The idea of coupling a small SP cost to it is not a bad idea, perhaps as little as 1sp each shot.
