Thumbs down Need suggestion: Ranger 18/Fighter 2

This is the build that I design for dps, however, it seems has lower hp than enough...
Here is my question: How can I get stronger ability to survive without losing DPS, espically in EP quests. (Exclude piking) My target is to increase the HP up to around 450. Please skip the equipment issue.

    Thanks!

You already have decent con and a toughness feat, plus the enhancements for it. HP shouldn't really be a huge issue for you.

Stats: I would dump wisdom down to 8, and raise dex to 14. Wisdom doesn't do much for you (with a +6 item you can cast all ranger spells even with base 8 wisdom), and a +1 reflex save when you have evasion is always good, IMO.

Feats: Power Critical is a worthless feat. It does not add to damage, and the bonus on crit confirm is kind of pointless. If you aren't confirming crits due to low to hit, work on the to hit instead.
Weapon Focus is kind of meh, too. A paltry +1 to hit is not much for a feat, but if you really need the to hit I guess it's a way of helping.

Other options: If you have torc and CO, maximize and quicken will help survivability, via selfhealing. This is advanced, though - and will need the torc at least for SP regen.
Or could change weapon choice to khopeshes for more damage. Or take more toughness feats for more hp.

Enhancements: Critical Accuracy is, like Power Critical, pointless. Sacrificing some FE defense enhancements (will you really have ac enough for those to matter?) could enable you to take human versatility IV. Nice for better damage.

Equipment: You didn't want to talk about this, but with the good con and with toughness + enhancements, you shouldn't have trouble getting decent hps even with 18 ranger levels. So make sure you wear +6 con, GFL or better, and start planning for a GS HP item if you don't have already. OR at least the alchemists' pendant with +20 HP. A minos legens helm could help, too.
DDO: If a problem cannot be solved by the application of DPS, you're not applying enough.

You say to skip the equipment issue, but that's really what this comes down to. If you had:
    +6 con item
    Toughness (Minos or whatever)
    Greater False Life
    Argonnessen favor
    Shroud HP item

That's 165 HP, putting you at 491, which is enough for an Evasion character.

One place you could squeeze out a little more HP in the build is by doing Human Adaptability Con, opening up Racial Toughness 3. You could also throw on a Sustaining Symbiont to even your Constitution (another +20) and serve as your GFL item.

Another way to increase your survivability is to load up on Healing Amp and use your own abilities. CSW with a Superior Ardor potion, your Devotion 3, 3 ranks of Healing Amp, and a 10%/20% DT outfit works out to:
    31.5 * (1 + .75 + .3) * (1.3 * 1.1 * 1.2) = 110.8 HP, on average
Nothing incredible, but nothing to sneeze at either.

You could also clean out your Silver Flame favor to get Silver Flame potions. You're a ship buff away from not being made helpless from the -10, so that's good.
