Yes, you can take multiple active past life feats. This is especially useful for the past life feats that can act basically as upgraded versions of other feats, like Bard in place of SF or GSF Enchantment, Sorcerer in place of Mental Toughness, Barbarian in place of Toughness, Wizard in place of any given SF feat, etc.

SUPER....that's just GREAT....now I have to rethink everything?!?!

****EDIT......ok just looked them all over....honestly wasn't planning on Mental Toughness anyways and none of the other ones are even remotely close to replacing what I intend as my final feat selection.

Oh and what I would get from completionist....bah hahahah....sorry Turbine would actually have to compensate me to "work" for that......I am 100% sure I'll be a great wiz even end game without it.

    Start with overkill.

Summon something somewhat survivable like a Hezzy. Put a mind fog where each of the 2 groups spawn; toss a dancing ball on top of that. Web where the caster spawns. Put invisibility on your hotbar. Talk to the dude to start things off, tag invisibility and see if you can PWK the caster right off the bat. See how many of the trash you catch in your CC. Try to energy drain - finger them ... or mass hold and then zap them down.

    etc.

Try to solo the front room of Wiz King. Try to hit the 3 chests in ADQ, killing the scorp room.

Solo epic Claw of Vulkoor, killing the giants but speed or stealth running the rest.

It may sound lame, and remember I'm a gimp player with mediocre-geared characters so if I can eventually manage it I'm sure you can. These things though are valuable and help you learn how to manage some situations better, how to shore up your defenses, how to amplify your strengths.

Keep pushing Snitch; see if you can solo up to Crateos. You can probably solo him with pots, but that's a pain.

Partycrashers can be solo-able too; see if you can find someone to tag along with and explain how.

Once you can do those sorts of things a few things open up to you. First, you're on the path to getting some decent epic gear, though maybe starter gear.

You don't need DCs to contribute in eDQ.

If you've got a rocking web DC, Bargain of Blood is doable too.

    Don't sell yourself short ;-)
    +1, awesome post.

It's astonishing how getting your a$$ kicked (at first) alone in epics is the best way to become a better team player.

To the OP-30 spell pen is a good number to aim for. Wizard past lives are an awesome feat saver, and well worth grinding for if you are inclined to be a great endgame caster.

Max/Emp/Toughness/quicken/heighten/SF:N/GSF:N/SF:E/GSF:E/extend are the big ones...leaving you with 2 feats to play with on a pure wizard first life wizard...which would go to the 2 spell pen ones.

2nd life+ one would go to the amazing active PL wiz feat, and the 2nd one Spell pen.

3rd life+ active wiz PL and something juicy of your choice-

possibly try and squeeze in shield mastery somehow, maybe a 2nd toughness, insightful reflexes maybe for +15-20 or so to reflex...this is where it becomes fun being a caster...those wizard PLs open up a lot of options.

Actually I planned on my final feats after getting all three WIZ Passives to be

    Extend
    Augment Summon
    Insightful Reflexes
    Toughness
    SF/GSF Necromancy
    SF/GSF Enchantment
    Maximize
    Quicken
    Heighten
    WIZ Active PL feat

I am not interested in empower, I just do not feel I need it, I am not building a nuker here, and WIZ already need to be conservative with SP......besides in this day and age the Melees and Savants DPS everything so fast it's overkill to have IMO.

Augment Summon no matter what anyone says is very powerful....not getting rid of it.

I am deeply considering doing three cleric PL so I can have a strong web as an option too......and depending on my gear set up I may do 1-3 FvS too...this will really depends on how well it goes with the new BB option.....and if they actually start putting out more high end stuff.

I have never been able to open elite right away, but I am really looking forward to it on my next TR and it could entice me to do all those Divine lives.

    indeed
for levelling maybe, at cap it's worth about the same as power critical
On a long enough timeline, the survival rate for everyone drops to zero

Augment summoning can indeed be useful. However here's something to think about.

Why not farm for Epic Roderic's Wand before you TR? That way, you can level with augment summoning and at 20 use your free feat exchange to swap out augment summoning for Empower?

Does the augment effect stay even after you un-equip it?

It would be very unbalancing if equiping an item gave you a feat forever.

GAH, I was kind of hoping I would not have to go into a detailed account of what I meant.....but I guess I will.....

I am holding my Magi sceptre in one hand and my Epic Roderic's Wand in the other.
I use my Shard of Xoriat to summon a buddy, bring up my hireling, and bring forth my Frostmarrow Mage.......

after buffing I equip my Rahl's Might.

Do the pets I just summoned stay augmented?

No.....I did not mean if I hold the wand just once ever will I magically permanently get a feat....I've been playing almost 5 years...give me a little credit.

Yes they do. As long as you're holding the wand WHEN something is summoned you're fine. You can then swap out of it afterwards.

This can also be done in Hound of Xoriat when charming the dogs as well. Heck it even works for hirelings.

But my overall point was, IF if you can get the wand, I honestly don't see a reason to keep the feat unless you're someone who never remembers to swap gear before casting
