Unwarranted negative reputation in raid scene

So not so long ago I was told i've been blacklisted for leaving part way through a raid. And as such am not allowed into some peoples groups, if I had done this I would have no problem with it however I have never left part-way through a raid, I drank 10 pots in a shroud when there was 3 people left to complete part 4. I drank 15 pots in an elite vod to complete the raid, I do NOT give up. The only instance that I left part way through was an eDA. I left because I had blacklisted the CC caster because he did nothing in a few others I joined and he rage-quit. I had to afk due to an emergency in an into the deep that resulted in a wipe. However I WILL not allow an unwarranted negative reputation follow me around as I try to play at the end game.

My main toon is Grethink, TR'd level 20 dwarf fvs my alts are Anrome, Truthik, Fradil and Urtha. By all means blacklist me if you think i've done something wrong however I want to set the record straight on this.

I say if people can't understand that some people have lives and sometimes those lives take priority over a video game they can feel free to "Black List" me cause I probably don't want to group with those people anyway

So you left part way through a Raid? Why didn't you drop when you joined and noticed the caster you previously blacklisted? If you just didn't notice until later, well, once the Raid is underway, you're past the point where dropping over that sort of thing is reasonable. If he causes problems with the run, then just don't drink pots, and let him take the heat for playing poorly. Leaving preemptively just makes you look bad.

That alone would annoy me enough to not trust you in groups where players get locked in.

You had from when you joined until before the doors closed to reasonably drop group, after that YOU effectively griefed the rest of the group.

Don't sweat it, some people will blacklist you, but most won't. Some will put you on their list unreasonably, but that is their prerogative. Most won't really care.

IMHO you have to repeatedly play horribly to get blacklisted enough to notice.

What happened that incited you to drop group? Did he rage-quit first in the run you dropped in? I thought you meant that he had rage-quit on you in the past, that being part of the reason you blacklisted him.

I don't even play on Sarlona; just pointing out that your OP seemed to admit to doing exactly what you say you're being falsely accused of... and now trying to help you get your side expressed clearly, because your OP might be making you look bad.

dont stress over blacklists,its just a game supposedly a form of relaxing entertainment, a break from the real world where everything is serious and consequental.if people want to ostrasize you over a bad day u had are they really the people u want to waste time with? nobodys perfect everyone is broken the people who think they arent are usally more broken than the rest.players who blacklist and squelch at the drop of a dime are actually helping you,by eliminating themselves from your partys they increase the fun you have in your off time before you have to go back to the real world

S/He just wanted a reason to list all there alts in case some weren't known so they can be added to the "friend" list.

I honestly wouldn't worry about it man. I don't recognize any of the toons you listed and i'm guessing alot of the readers don't recognize any of the names you listed. Just think, 99.9999% of the server has no idea who you are so it's safe to say you'll probably be able to still join some groups.

On a related note...maybe it's time to step back, take some deep breaths, buy a sensible car, go on a date, find a second hobby....i think you get the point.

What if he steps back not noticing where he is and falls down the stairs.
What if he takes some deep breaths and not knowing he has a problem with his lungs starts to have breathing problems and collapses because of asphyxia. (sp?)
What if he buys a sensible car and gets into a car accident crippling his hands and never being able to play ddo again?
What if he goes on a date and his date don't like ddo or want him to play it?
What if that 2nd hobby makes him want to forget ddo, and we will never get to see him again?

The community itself admit to be quite elitist, i don't know your server but i have been blacklisted or had negative reputation when i was really really new to game and couldn't even understand the "rules".

Most people apply those without any early explanation often.
