Not sure if it exists outside of Australia, but down he we have a charity event call movember. In short, you are sponsored to grow a moustache over the month of November.
The funds raised in Australia support equally the two biggest health issues men face – prostate cancer and depression.

Nivea, a launched a side project to this. Shave it or Save it. This is a website where men can post pictures of their dodgy mo's and be voted on whether to save it or shave it at the end of November.
