    Default Adjustable Party Volume

Please add some individual volume adjustments.

So I can right-click players in a party and either adjust their volume down or up as needed individually.

Many players come across with diffferent volumes some I can hear fine, others not so much.

The whole volume system seems to be off in general.

I have the voice volume maxxed in the settings and still many players come in low.

Some players are just naturally loud and need to be tweaked down a bit.

I use Vent as well and find the volume controls there are way superior.

Strangely enough when I have players in vent that are also in party, vent is crystal clear while party volume tends to come across muffled or like they are talking 2 feet away from their headsets. Not for everyone, but most.

Regardess of whatever people are using, give me some control so I can adjust to suit individually.

Yup, it has been a while since we've seen this thread ; it is certainly time to bring it up again.

    Pretty, pretty please!

Also, for those of you that read but don't post:

In the U.I. if you go to 'options' then 'audio' there is a box in the voice settings you can click called "mic test" that will allow you to hear for yourself how your mic sounds on the game for yourself.

What YOU hear in doing this, is what the other players hear as well.

If you need to make adjustments from there in your windows settings while in-game to fine tune it a bit, you can hit alt+enter to go into windowed mode, this lets you leave the client open so you can go into your start menu, then click 'control panel' then 'hardware and sound' and then go to your recording tab and you can adjust your mic levels in windows.

You won't be able to hear your in-game levels while in the windows settings, but you can keep going back and forth from the game to the settings while the game is in windowed mode until you find your sweet spot in-game.

Hope that helps some of you out a little bit.

Or, alternatively, if they just asked Ventrilo to come up with a format usable for this type of grouping from the beginning we wouldn't be having this problem.

It is very rare that I find someone who I can not make heads nor tails of what they're trying to say because they're too quiet.

Mostly it's the opposite effect, wishing I could lower someone's volume down so they're not blasting my eardrums out.
Or wanting to turn the volume off of a party member that has just gotten on my nerves because of their inanity.

The last part reminds me of a time I actually squelched someone in my party just to not see their inarguable stupidity.

I love the DDO chat system. It really loses it's luster, however, when you have one guy so loud it wakes your neighbors just so you can hear the party leader, who is slightly louder than my cat when she's stalking something...
Don't even give me the option to turn people up.
How about just a way to turn some people DOWN?!?

As it stands now, I have every sound in the game set at .00001 volume, and the chat at 11. And I STILL have issues with some parties.

that is how I set mine as well, but mine only goes to 10. It would be nice to be able to listen to the DM and still hear my party, as it is I have the DM turned completely off.

So very much need a way to increase & decrease the volume of individuals as needed.

The other night, ran Shroud and when one of the healers was talking had to really concentrate on what it was they were trying to say.
This guy was so very quiet on my end it was like trying to listen for one drop of rain.

One of my guildies I can barley hear, comes out as almost a whisper, and I asked if others had the same problem but some can hear him just fine.

Sometimes I have to turn down the volume because several of them I can hear really well but it then makes it hard to hear my guild leader.
Disappointed and without trust in the powers that be.
