    Default Cleric w/ Evasion, Skills and DCs?

    A little background, skip if you're more interested in the build template!

    So i'm coming up to 20 on my first char and real Main, a Human 18 Pale Master/2 Rogue, and starting to re-evaluate how i enjoy playing the game most. This has generally been as a support/healing char, focussing on utility more so than anything else. I have played several alts of all classes but never found anything that stuck with me completely more than the wiz. But certain ideas have stuck with me throughout, particularly, high DC insta kills and traps, but with decent healing output. A WF Wiz would be perfect but ****..not everyone in the game plays WF :O

    I welcome any criticism or advice anyone can offer. I've been around the game but have a fairly local field of knowledge, and this build is a complete work in progress. I have a long way to go before I am ready for this and am considering a FvS/2nd Wizard life beforehand to help with gearing and stats.

    I take no credit for this, i'm sure its been done already but i haven't been able to find something that suits me perfectly, so i figure a thread to discuss it and track the design will be of benefit to me!

    Updated with newer build, still refining the skills and enhancements but hopefully this all works out as i'm enjoying the idea of the build, and want to make it as viable as possible

    Initial Thoughts

    Evasion is a nice feature but needs to be backed up with a Reflex Save

    Your Base Reflex is 12

    Will 26 Be enough for the content you are planning on running?

    The difference between a max Wisdom 18 and 16 Wisdom is a single DC and a few Spell points. Using the 6 Points to boost Strength to 10 (Avoid Ray of Enfeeblement issues) and Dex to 12 would gain you +2 Reflex Save and +2 to your rogue Dex Skills.

    With 16 int = insigthful reflex?
    about the str, just a buff is enough to help with Enfeeblement.. my sorc has 8str and with bull's buff i dont get enfeeblement

    Ray of Enfeeblement is 1d6+5 Strength Damage at level 10.

    12 Strength is indeed *higher* than the spell can debuff you.. but still, at 1~2 Strength, I imagine your carrying capacity isn't all too high. The lowest the Wiki lists is 6 Strength, and that's only 75 lbs/150 lbs for Medium and Heavy Encumberance. Also, being Encumbered, I do believe, stops Evasion. -- it at least uncenters a monk.

    As you can tell from the build order perhaps, Evasion is not a major part of the build, but yes i hoped for the save to be decent at 20+ with Epics and raids being in my sight for then. I'm considering making this my 3rd life now, so with 36 points and access to better gear it should be far improved than my original ideas.


    I have also looked at dropping to 16 Wis on this, but I thought to max it purely to make up for the lower DCs i'll have as a splash. The wiz past life however should help me too.

    I'd be much more likely to put the points into Int for skills and reflex save however, as noted above I plan to use Insightful reflex as i see this as the key Feat for making an Int-heavy splash viable here. Being equal to 4-6 Reflex save alone at higher levels, and allowing me to dump Dex, makes it look rather nice.


    All of my current chars are 8 Str ranged/healers. If anything i need more melee experience :P Playing with more than 8 Str is a comfort i don't feel i really need!
