Hello all, im trying to make this monk/ranger splash.. but still dunno which one will be better.. i dont have 32pts which will turn the things a lot easier and the first goal is a good solo build (time issues for party stuff)
Why not go fighter/monk instead ranger? cuz with ranger i get twf line for free (plus some ranged too), and without 32 pts its hard to get 17dex for gtwf without gimping con or str... or maybe im wrong?
I cant use +2 tomes too... yep, its a poor dam first life =/

any help will be wonderfull

I suspect monk 12 / rgr 6 is better DPS (w/handwraps natch), but only if hitting DEX 17 isn't too hard. The main advantage to going rgr 12 / monk 6 is getting the TWF feats free, of course; that's a big help if you're stuck with 28 pts and can't afford tomes yet. What races do you have or prefer? And why this combo rather than, say, pure monk?

thx for the atention... i have all races (vip)+drow .. i was thinking about human (+1feat, +1 skill pt, rounded stats), helf (rog dill, rounded stats, AA possiblity), drow (dex high not many pts to get 16 at least for +1 cheap dex tome, good spell resistence, **** con =/).. but im not fixed in a race, but in the viability of the build, my highest char is a human sorc lvl 8 pretty fun to play with, but i wanna a melee too
so i tried bard, battleclerics, some builds found here, and was thinking about this one... could be great at solo with, but i dont have many things beside my wish =/

I don't know if it's an optimal build but monk9/ranger11 gets a lot of (free) goodies: ToD, improved evasion, many twf and ranged feats. You only need 13 dex for dodge. It should be fun as a halfelf with rogue dilletante and AA using zen archery.

The 12 ranger build would obviously be more interesting for you as you don't need dex on the build. Zen Archery lets you use your wisdom for AB and stay centered with a bow. 10k stars lets you get more DPS out of your wisdom but giving extra arrows 50% of the time (30 second duration, 1 minute cooldown).

thx for the advice, but i rly dont wanna a ranged char, my objetive is a good melee dpser with a good/average ranged dps as alternative when necessary

I'm playing a 28-point Ninja Spy II / Tempest I right now, and it's awesome.

Why not? You can buy them on the Auction House. Save up your plat and keep an eye out for a good deal.
