my friend can't get on the website or log into the game he's tried everything we can think of and nothing has worked he's in sao paulo, brazil and we can't figure it out any help would be great

Very strange, I'm also accessing from São Paulo and not experiencing it.

Were the game working before ?
Did he changed the firewall settings to permit DDO run ?

it was working before yesterday morning but now it s not... his firewall is off and its still not working is there any way that his antivirus might be messing with it at this point??

Is he using the launcher in full mode like the image bellow?

If yes ask him to click in the two triangles pointing down, sometimes the launcher doesn't work in full mode.

And what -exactly- happens when your friend tries to access the DDO web site?

i had this problem yesterday couldnt access any of turbine sites but could get on everything else,
i reset my router and everything was fine.

Hi , well i was and i still am with this problem ...

I'm in brazil too
What happened is that i couldn't log in any turbine website , ddo website or game too ...

I tryied everything possible firewall antivirus etc, etc, ... messed my windows so much that i had to format it -_-

The thing is, i tried to use my brothers computer, that doesn't play games and he wasn't using it for a while ... and he couldn't connect either .

So the problem is probably one of those:

1) my web company blocked DDO ... I'm using GVT , ADSL connection here in Brazil

2) DDO banned my ip ... or company ip range or something like that. My ip without proxy is this one 177.41.19.224

Unfortunaly i don't have access to my rooter/modem .... it belongs to GVT and they didn't give you the password to check your router configuration.

I'm not really an expert but i guess is something like that. And well there is more people with my problem as i see.

In fact the only way i could bypass this is that, right now, i'm using a korean proxy , or i wouldn't even be able to connect to the forum (everything is working with the proxy but laggy).

Any sugestions please?

Have you tried to contact the GVT customer support and ask if they blocked your access to DDO?

That's possibly the reason.
Wouldn't someone that live with you asked them to block? Maybe an angry wife?

Hi guys ...

Well i haven't contacted GVT ... but i didn't knew but if wait a bit longer 5 or 10 minutes GVT ip changes for you

My old Ip was 177.41.19.224

Now my new ip is 177.17.117.114 . reverseip : 177.17.117.114.static.host.gvt.net.br

And everything is working fine without the proxy now =) .

I dunno i was logged when the server aperently crashed and the server may had put some people ip banned.
