    Default Power Down

I have been having a strange issue where my computer powers itself down mid-game. I was wondering if anybody else has this issue. I have scanned for viruses and malware that could cause this and found nothing. I replaced the power supply in case that was the problem. If anybody else has this issue let me know...

    thanks

That sounds a great deal like a thermal shutdown. Have you checked the CPU and GPU core temperatures? Anything approaching 100 C° is likely to cause this. You can check CPU temps with this application or this application and GPU temp with this application.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Is the computer shutting down (closing out programs, etc), or just "blink and it's off".

sudden loss of power generally indicates defective hardware or bad hardware installations
