Default Thinking about TR'ing my Sorc: Which class next?

    So our little group has all reached 20 and we have done a few Epic quests (except getting shot down a few times from people saying "you must have 400+hp to do this run". 400+hp? as a Sorc? hmm...not on my build, and I coped perfectly fine when I ran it before...) but to be honest, I am getting bored of the Epic runs and we all agreed that at some point we would TR anyway, so was wondering;

What class would be good for me to go to next? Eventually, I'd quite like to power on and go for completionist or something, but for now I will be staying within range of my fellow guildies. So without worrying too much about keeping balance to our group (we'll be able to work around whatever I think), which should I TR my Sorc to? I'd quite like to try out Rouge, but as I see it Rouge would get no benefit from my past life (cept the 34pt build > 32pt of course). Only thing I dont want to do next is Wizard, too similar to Sorc I think.

    So yeah, suggestions?

    Fvs?
    Artificer?

If you want to go Rogue-ish, Arti may be your best choice. Arti's have spell points, so you'll be able to utilize that little boost of SP. Plus Artificers can handle the traps and can be built in a variety of ways.

Of course, both of those are favor unlocked so you may not have these options.

Cleric or Bard may not be a bad way to go as well, and those are free classes.

The PL sorc (20sp and +1 evoc DCs)

Are excellent on cleric/fvs; go the latter if you have the choice.

+ 1 to blade barrier and implosion is very nice as those are your main killing spells.

    id go for FVS

if i didnt already have 1 FVS & 1 Sorc at the moment, I would TR my Sorc to FVS.

+ 1 to Evoc is a big deal, probably one of the better Past life feats. And from playing a Sorc to playing an FVS, im sure ud have a lot of fun going with a Caster FVS as the BB can do something that Sorc's cannot.. or can't do as well.

FVS is the most fun i've had so far.

    fvs

I actually like clerics better for healing. BUT for divine casting FVS wins.

+1 evoc is nice. I LUV implosion.

If you want to do something completely different go Barb for next life ~ the Barb +10HP and active feat (counts as toughness now for enhancements) are handy no matter what class you do after that...

If you don't want to do more Sorc or Wizard (which both would make much sense for a Arcane Caster as a final life), I'd suggest a FVS.

The passive sorcerer past life feat grants a stacking +1 evocation DC bonus and +20 stacking sp (not doubled as a fvs/sorc in your next life). This pairs well with any offensive caster honestly. It would make you a more effective Wizard, Sorcerer, FvS, artificer, and Cleric with some minor benefits as a bard for CC purposes (Shouts, whatnot).

The active sorcerer past life feat is essentially a 3rd stacking rank of mental toughness with 10 charges of SP-free attacks. The clickable attacks are handy, but nothing to write home about. However, stacking +135 sp (20 from past life, 105 from the active past life feat) is very, very handy. It's extremely useful on a cleric/wizard/artificer's SP pool.

Bounce around a few veteran character to see what you like first, and remember that Con is never a dump stat. The 400+hp mark is honestly very realistic even on first life toons. My human wizard carries about 550hps. Look for some greater false life, +6 con, and toughness items. Beyond that a pure earth greensteel accessory is a wonderful thing for +45 more stacking hps as well as some other handy toys.

    Happy Hunting!

Thanks guys! I finally got round to TR'ing the other day. Decided to go for a Battle Cleric type build, with focus on Buff's and Healing. Took Fighter Dilettante feat, so can use Martial weapons and am currently really enjoying it! Decided against FVS, purely based on healing.

Appreciate all the advice and opinions tho.

    thats a nice decision, swf,

if id ever play a cleric again i would opt for the fighter dil. going pure cleric sounds better to me compared to 1fighter. so much SP lost and lose capstone which is quite unique.

i would still max Wis though and get 14 Str and wouldnt get any THF feat. (mistakes i made with my 1st battle cleric)

I went for 16/10/16/10/16/8 for starting stats, but curious about the THF feat. Why did you not choose it? I've got it planned for a later level, but if you think something else would be better...?

Wow, cant believe where I am already! level 18 Battle cleric, not power levelling at all. Thoroughly been enjoying this life, though we are nearly at that time again. Got an alt that will do the newer epic stuff, so will be TR'ing blade again soon... This time I think it might be Arti...
