The lottery has also been pretty quiet.
We are heading into the holiday season, so I think of these last few weeks as the quiet before the storm. We will probably see double point sales around black Friday, and a sale a day like we did last December.
The problem is never how to get new, innovative thoughts into your mind, but how to get old ones out. Every mind is a building filled with archaic furniture. Clean out a corner of your mind and creativity will instantly fill it.

OMG give me a real sale already!
Sheesh. :P
Oh well, last big thing was the +3 Tome Sale. Something told me we'd be dealing with non-serious offers for awhile after that but I can't help but feel impatient all the same.
Kinda suffering a lethargy from DDO that I fear only an excuse to refill my TP could cure.

I guess they want people spending their TP's on new adventure packs, and not 'sales'.
I think that the "expectation' of most DDO forumites here and players that the store sales being the norm might have something to do with the lack of sales.
When expectations that sales of 20% are the norm, with 50% being special I guess Turbine is trying to wean the expectations away.
I don't know about others but my monthly point spend has gone from quite a significant amount to virtually nothing since the sales got less varied, frequent and the discount decreased. Nothing like 50% off to make you buy more than twice as much as you needed anyway. 20% off does nothing to make me hit buy.
But then I'm tight like that.
The only thing I can say about the store is that I'm Dutch. That means I want it as cheap as possible and I can wait for it. I don't buy anything that doesn't last. So consumables and BTC items are quickly off the list (although I'm considering buying a bag or two from leftover TP).
The adventure packs I have bought so far were all 20% off. I am now waiting for a huge Thanksgiving and/or Christmas deal before I buy anything again.
I really can't be arsed to buy bells of opening or mummy rot elixers. I could never get the hang of the monk so that one is off too until I got some money to burn.
It's no surprise to me that I haven't bought any points for the last 3 months when I was buying them almost every month for ages.
I don't know if it's just human nature, but I would spend money to buy a points pack in order to take advantage of a 'super special' (50% off something nice, hearts of wood, xp pots, mana pots etc) but if I see something 20% off I don't really need, I wont bother.
It's all about perspective I guess. True Heart of wood 50% off? I'll buy 4, will need them eventually. 20% off? Don't need them at the moment.
