Because they seem like a legitamit option that could help balance a little bit more.
Plus, they could be released with gnomes and have a bundle pack (a cleverly named bundle pack, because they're both short)

I propose the following:
Little People Pack: Includes Gnomes (+2Int/Dex.-2Str/Wis), Kobolds (+2Cha,-2 Str)
Extraplanar Pack: Includes Lesser Aasimar (+2Cha/Wis), Lesser Tiefling (+2Dex/Int, -2Cha IIRC)
All races are 32pt enabled...one race in each pack is free to VIP/Favor unlockable the other is P2P only.

When you take into consideration that this is Eberron, and they're releasing druids soon, the handsdown obvious new race would be Shifter. It's a natural choice to add with the nature theme of druid and it's one of only a couple of Eberron core races that aren't in the game yet.

Shifters would be my first choice with kobolds a close second. Kalishtaar (if I'm spelling that right) would be a distant third choice. Kals would really need a whole new story line with the Dreaming Dark to make them interesting. I always thought gnomes were just silly. Unless you want to peddle travel discounts.
1. Half-Succubus: so they could play melee classes too; innate charm ability (even for melee classes); other half of the race would likely be elven. No plus or minus to stats. Weak vs Cold Iron/Good weapons.
2. Gnome
EDIT: Half-Succubus gains Charm, Charm Monster, Mass Charms as they progress in lvl.

Centaur hands down. Of course they would have to add lances, spears and halberds to the game as well as charging mechanic, things that should be here anyways. Kensai centaur with LIT2 heavy lance..... mmmm. Shining Force it up ho! Plus you could trample halflings so automatic win......
