Gnomes
I don't understand why tieflings aren't a playable race but half orcs are. Full orcs tend to all be evil villains. But if a human and an orc... (I don't even want to think about it) then the half orc that results from that can be good and can be a playable race. At the same time all devils tend to be evil villains but if a human and a succubus got it on ( ^^ ) then the result, a tiefling, is the same concept as the half orc. Tieflings should be added because half orcs exist. And yes the guy who designed the half elf shouldn't go near it.
Kalashtar and/or Planartouched (Aasimar and Tiefling - I'm assuming they'd introduce both at the same time, preferrably with an optional bundle purchase Ã* la Half-Breeds)
.:[Aluatris Songsteel - 18 Bard | Elorick - 18 Monk | Daevian - 8 Wizard]:.
.:[Roleplayer and proud member of the Fellowship of the Golden Night on Thelanis ]:.
Kobolds...
So I can run for president of their union or start a guild.
Can you imagine looking all over the harbor and seeing little Kobolds hopping all over the place?
Watching Goldscuttle hand out little gifts to all the Kobolds who now are inhabiting Stormreach?
It could look like he is fostering revolution!
Can you imagine the confusion and chaos of taking an all Kobold team into Waterworks?
I think it would be a great deal of fun!
After a little Tolkien I am usually up for anything.
Dragonborn.
Dragon-like beings that aren't half-dragons (they're pretty much what they say they are - dragonborn. Other beings reborn into a dragon-like body) and can serve the Big Good Dragon of Eberron. That's neat.
...Besides, if you have a lore problem with Dragonborn, then I suppose one should have a problem with Kobolds, who are also dragon-like beings >_> And I don't just mean as a playable race, I mean "existing in Stormreach at all"
The guy who likes to experience every class. Except Fighter >:[ I don't like you Fighter.
Hey Devs! Let's give Warpriests and Eldritch Knights some loving, kay? :<
Cactimian or Tibbit
Thri-kreen get bonus wisdom, and are the most amazing race ever!
According to the original handbook: http://danaki.net/downloads/PDF/Dark...2.0%20Core.pdf
base stats have these modifiers.
+2 dex, +1 wisdom -1 intelligence -2 charisma
Monk players will love them (double ki from attacks ^^), and paladins may enjoy the 4 smites they can get with a single click.
Bonus,
4 arms each able to hold a weapon, and are automatically ambidextrous 2 main-hands and two off-hands
Extra bite attack with poison damage and a chance to paralyze(lvl 5) and bonus damage when unarmed 1d4 base instead of 1d2 (increased die for monks) (claws and such)
Able to leap long distances (lvl 3) (extra abundant step ^^ or at least a huge jump bonus)
Darkvision and blindness reduction because of antennae.
Automatically get deflect arrows as a feat.
Restrictions, (some restrictions are bonuses)
cannot sleep, so rest shrines are out of the question?
Cannot use armor but their carapace automatically grants them 5 AC (natural armor bonus) and increases with levels (or enhancements?)
- from the original darksun handbook"Those items, however, designed to be worn by demihumans, such as rings, girdles, armor, and cloaks, will not function for a thri-kreen because he simply cannot put them on.
Unless otherwise stated, magical items are designed for use by demihumans"
No rings or 4 rings? This would make those sought after ToD rings useless for them which is a great source of monk dps and breaking DR, however the extra 2 arms would surely make up for this.
Language barrier, unable to speak in non-insect tongue.
Traits
They count as monstrous humanoids
Boots, belts, shoulder pads, but no armor
-- quote from original darksun payers handbook"They consider the other player character races as potential food stock, but only prey on other intelligent creatures in times of desperation. The mantis warriors have a well-known taste for elves, which keeps both races at an uneasy peace when they are forced to cooperate."
