Kobolds...
and after kobolds, sure gnomes, so we can kill them!!!!
IIII was the standard used decades BC, and I don't believe IV came into any common use until the later half of the fifth century AD. IV and its extrapolations are the more common now, but IIII is still very frequently used today. Both habits of notation should be understood to best facilitate communicate.
Kobolds.
I also vote for Kobolds!

I vote Gnomes seeing as they are the only race (i think) in the 3.5 phb that has not been implemented. I would like to see all the core races before they start adding others
Aasimar
To help ability starved paladins, also good for favored souls or clerics.
Kobold
Gnome
Shifter
Aasimir
Tiefling
not necessarily in that order (though Gnome and Shifter at the top)
Aesop
Rule 1: Don't sweat the small stuff
Rule 2: Its all small stuff
Rule 3: People are stupid. You, me everyone... expect it
more rules to come in a different sig
Someone did a count a while ago a Gnomes were winning with Kobolds in a close second while Aasimar/Tielfing are pretty much the same for third than everythings else has far less votes but shifters are at the head of that pack...the pattern seems to have persisted.
I'm looking forward to the "Planar Pack" and the "Little People Pack"

That said, I wonder if there isn't such a thing as a Half-Sahuagin...
...You know there was something more going on between that Devourer Adept and Sahuagin Warrior on Korthos after all...
i'd say kobolds or dryads. kobolds because they are super awesome, dryads because they, a would kobolds, would fit in more easily than a warforged titan
besides, i want to make a dryad druid
"May the flamin' force be with you!"
Gnomes, with a House Sivis pack. Probably something that uses Cerulean hills in the same way that Sentinels used Searing heights, would be awesome.
I'd only vote for kobolds if they had an ability that let you climb surfaces by tumbling backwards into them, like all those bloody shamans in waterworks/Enter the Kobold.
GNOMES all the way.
