    Default bard12 Fighter6 - backup tank?

    UPDATE - 795 HP self buff; 875 HP with Arti buff. See updated build.

    OP title should be Bard14/fgt6! - credit for the idea for this build goes to Ganak and MaddMatt70.

    You'll kick yourself when Dwarven Defender PrE is released.

    Otherwise, I'd take maximise instead of the second toughness (for quickened cures). I'd consider taking 2 rogue to be able to tank more often (when evasion is needed) and to be more useful in general (traps/sneak attack damage).

    I have to say all you need to do is to Lesser Reincarnate to 18 bard 2 fighter when Dwarven Defender comes out so do not understand what you are trying to say.

    In regards to the second comments I disagree for starters this build is about hit points, DR, and songs and going with 2 rogue is going to reduce one or all of the three.

    to the OP: I would include Yugo pots in the hp total and make sure to have hp gear.. The goal would be 800 hp which although difficult is not beyond the realm of reason.

    Edit: one thing to be concerned about is your intimidate score.. Human might be a better choice for that reason. Strive for a close to 80 intimidate for epic lob to go along with 800 hp and now we are talking. I was thinking about the hate as well but with brawn spirit 10%, Claw set, defender stance etc. your good.

    Ok so upgrading to Superior false life and adding Yugoloth pot:

    self buff HP = 758
    with Arti Energy infusion HP = 834

    Nb - based on CON score of 36

    MaddMatt70 - gear would include Brawn spirit, Claw set, etc as u mention.

    LR'ing 4 levels will set you back 2 million plat+ or $15 in the DDO store? Peanuts right?

    Even with ideal gear this build will quite often be out-tanked by any moderately geared fighter/paladin/monk built for tanking and comparatively geared fighter/barbarian/paladin/monk/AC build. Getting a little more versatility in what you can tank (for instance by having evasion or being warforged) will greatly increase your opportunities to tank.

    Yugo con pots reduce attack speed by 5% which equates to 5% less DPS/hate. Without racial hate I'm not sure that this build could afford that loss all the time.

    Half-elf for double intim timers, human for eFang use (with dragonmarks) or warforged might all be better racial choices until dwarven defender comes out at least.

    Self-imposed racial restriction to DWARF.
    Call it my personal rebellion against the masses or more prob my flavor fix!!

    I am growing a pure Fighter DS tank build (credit to a build base by Slade) on another alt. Also Zongen Tohsti (see signature below) is rogue splash bard16.
