And there is the catch. Other than the memory leak issue which has been around since I started playing, I cant think of a single bug that effects my daily or weekly gameplay experience. I might actually encounter a bug maybe once in three or four weeks, and I almost never encounter a bug that is serious enough to interrupt my game play. Consequently, I would rather have new/finished PRE's than a patch full of "bug fixes" that would basically not benefit me. Maybe I'm not everyone, and maybe I'm not even an average player, but a patch of all bug fixes would not benefit the whole player base. It would only benefit the people effected by someones "pet bug"

First, the last few updates' adventure packs have been stellar. I wound up with a Bloody Cleaver, not because I wanted one (that was a side benefit), but because I enjoyed running time trials in the second Lordsmarch chain. Why should I ask that such updates be halted?

Second, update creation is more complicated than, "Oh, we released this update, now let's all get to work on something else". Content creation and improvement has a long pipeline; the content for the next update is presumably already in progress.

Third, yeah, seriously, Turbine, fix stuff that's broken. I mean, seriously. How long have the tier 2 bard PrEs been out? The healing and SP songs overwrite each other and don't work on warforged.

There are undoubtedly bugs that only affect a subset of the player population. Handwraps being borked for the most part comes to mind.

I don't play a monk at the moment, although I do have a few low level ones parked as bank toons. I'd much rather have wraps completely fixed than get a new PrE even for my main class. That's partly due to the software engineer in me, who can just imagine that hole getting deeper every time a new set of wraps is added to the game. Its also due to a sense of fairness that I don't believe other people should have to put up with something being broken forever. I'm an adult -- I'm not fixated only on what benefits me personally.

Congrats on not being affected by lag, zone in crash, or any of the other global issues affecting the game. On the other hand, you may want to leave your guild ship at least occasionally.

They should assemble two crack teams of multi-discipline devs, and put the Major in charge of one, and Eladrin in charge of the other (or rather, leave Eladrin in charge of the other). Their priorities will be set against the Major's master list of bugs. At the end of the month the team that has fixed the fewest bugs has to donate $10 each to the other team for every bug remaining on the master list, and do 1 lap of Pax in their underwear.

And whichever 'captain' was in charge of the losing team? Their lap has to be naked, and they get no bacon for the whole Con.

    Now that's motivation.

No, see, then the skilled programmers will just go find jobs with other companies, and we'll be left with the programmers who couldn't find other work.

I tried the reign of madness pack last week for the first time!!! Now i'm starting the secret of artificer pack and now i have loads of challenges to try!!!

But they won't do it. http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p...6&postcount=39
Edit...I laugh at you for thinking you are ok with nothing new for a year. You folks are already asking about the next thing! Easy to type, but you all would be raging by Dec. if you knew there was nothing in the pipeline until Nov 2012.
And it would not be bug free. It is a statistical impossibility. Mostly free? Pretty Clean? Sure...bug free...never. There is a reason they are called bugs, squashing them is like trying to kill an cockroach infestation.

Let me say that I love all the new content, but it would be nice to see a big bug clean up. I don't really care what gets fixed.

I'm on the fence about this, I wouldn't mind a giant bug fix update (considering I got to witness the power of the new blades of the shroud during a giant lag storm and died only to see the damage about a min. later.) However, I'd still really want to see them working on the PrE's. The bard PrE's, Rogue, Cleric just to name a couple that I'd like to see but yeah. If it must be delayed to perform the ritual sacrifices of delagging than so be it.

    Seriously though.....

I enjoy everything DDO has given us over the years , and enjoy the game very much.

If you've stepped into these new challenges.......... you will see how huge and intricate they created these maps. All the time and effort put in to creating all this new stuff and it is nice.

Now take that time and effort and fix broken stuff, rescale stuff, etc....

We really do have enough content at the moment to keep us busy for many months.

As of the LFM's atm , hardly any new content lfm's, hardly any new raid lfm's, shrouds lfms are now require 500hp normal lvl 18-20's lol, hound elite's seeing 19-20s lfms , its gotten sad the non-grouping / helping new ppl attitudes as of late.

Please Turbine , stop adding on to the house and lets start cleaning the house up a bit before our next addition.

    thx !

Please fix existing bugs and finish Pre's before new content. Or at least tell us when this might happen because I understand that they have a long lead time and things already in progress.

Yes thats right , we have enough content to grind through at the moment.

Lets actually get back to fixing year(s) old problems and get this game fine tuned like it deserves to be.

So sign for Update 13 : The Mother Of All Fixes (tm)

Updates should contain new things. We still don't have druids, full PrE's, gnomes, other Eberron specific player races, a lot of spells, or that many high level quests. I still want things I was hoping for years ago. Bug fixes can be part of updates.

Patches should contain bug fixes and what we really need are more patches to fix outstanding bugs, not to replace content updates with big bug patches.

I would think we would already have these covered under separate teams already.

    please, turbine;
1st, fix everything which is actually broken, before moving on.
2nd, finish the loose ends you have lying around, like PrEs.

"but we need new content to attract new players"
no. no you don't. someone new to this game is likely not gonna be done with (by which i mean bored with, not "have played through it once") the content that already exists for months - and if they are, are they holding down a job too? thereby bringing you income?

"but we need new content to keep existing players"
if you actually fix the game, we'll forgive you for the lack of new content
