Default THF Dwarf Starting Stats Opinions requested

I am having a hard time deciding which way to start off my Dwarf THF Barb I will be using a +2 supreme tome at 7 to boost all stats as well.

    Dwf barb start
    Str 8 Dex 8 Con 10 Int 8 Wis 8 Cha 6

    A) Str 18 Dex 14 Con 18 Int 8 Wis 8 Cha 6
    B) Str 18 Dex 12 Con 18 Int 12 Wis 8 Cha 6
    C) Str 18 Dex 12 Con 18 Int 8 Wis 12 Cha 6

Do i pump up Dex for reflex? Int for some breathing room on skill points or Wis for Will saves?

I have never played a barb at upper levels so i dont know how well the rage + dwarf saves work, is it worth raising dex and or wis for more saves or should i just dump intell and spread out some skill points for convenience.

I've never felt a need for more skill points on a barbarian.

    Well I'n no expert, but

    strength 18/18
    dex 8/10
    con 20/18
    int 8/9
    wis 8/10
    cha 6/9

for starting. The first one is a min-max, the second one built to be able to use silver flame pots without being stunned for 30 seconds. IDK about saves, but I'm not sure that's what I would be aiming for on a barbarian. Anyways, it's all up to how you play.

There's not much need for int on a barb, since there are very few skills worth raising. I'd probably go for A), since with 14 dex you can reach worthwhile saves (especially if you also have dwarven spell defense). Will saves are generally not that important as reflex saves.

Default I had the same question

    Hey Jevar,
I had the same question, and I was lucky enough to find Shade's guide to barbarians. I've been following the dwarven build and its working great.

    http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=296816

I did change one thing from the stats he advises. I raised my wisdom to keep from getting hit with enchantment spells. And at level 6 I'm glad i did with the casters spamming hold person on elite setting. I do have the option of TR if the stats need to be redone at higher level. But for right now its working fantastic.

    Str: 18
    Dex: 12
    Con: 16
    Int: 8
    Wis: 14
    Cha: 6

    hope this helps,
    Dae
