Default Dark Void4 build, looking for opinions

Primarily, do YOU think this build would work overly well? Where could it be improved?(wouldn't mind fitting gm earth but not sure what I could/should lose for it)

The basic premise is to hit hard and fast (gmWind) with as many powerful strikes as I can fit and decent survivability.

Do i see this right that you have Stunning Blow but not Fist?

Did you calculate your DCs on both? Should be pretty similar, and Fist has a cooldown of only 6 seconds while Blow has 15 seconds.
So, Fist is much better than Blow. Even if the Blow DC ends up being a bit higher. Imp Sunder as a preparation strike will help greatly.
Fist allows you to keep a monster permanently stunned, with the 6s CD and 6s duration.

I agree with Memek... Take Metaru's build and make it HOrc. Drop wisdom altogether and max str/dex/con and go with fire stance. Metaru takes SB but I agree with the SF rationale that Memek sites.

Too much relies on Wis these days to just go dump it, not to mention that doing so locks him out of the Void IV he has in the title.

The monk I have at the moment is loosely based on the metaru squashed onto a horc, but wind stance won me over so I ended up spending more time there than in fire lol. Fire is used mostly for boss beating when I really want to spam every single strike without any sort of delay at all.

That is essentially why I took elegant crane on this path instead of tortoise as it gives similar ki benefits to fire stance, but with the speed of wind to back it up.

It's an interesting point you bring up there memek, I haven't calculated the dc's on those, but I would be concerned that without being primarily wisdom based, the stunning fist would land far less often than the stunning blow regardless of being able to throw it twice as often. Not to mention the extra ki cost involved seeing this build wont be running fire stance outside of high level raid bosses and possibly epic's.

So any recommendations about what I could lose to fit gm Earth and get turtlemode/enduring strike4?

Oops... my bad. Forgot about the pre-reqs. ImAN00b

    SB DC = 10 + StrMod
    SF DC = 10 + 10 (half monk lvl) + WisMod

So if your Str was +20 points more than your Wisdom you'd come out even on SB and SF DC.

First, a small correction: stunning fist = 10 + 10 (half character level) + wis mod

Also, even if you get the DCs equal (rather difficult to get a strength value 20 greater than wis) SF is still more powerful since it has only a 6 second cooldown compared to 12 on SB.
