Default HELP! With my Monk :S

Hey Guys... I've been "building" my monk so far and I think I kinda screwed it up! So.. I'm making this post to gather some help and information on WHAT should I improve on it, or just to tell me that I did everything wrong(lol).

I wanted to be a DPS monk, but at this point I'm not being a DEX Monk nor a DPS monk, nothing! Everything is hitting on me really hard, and my average damage is 20-30(with luck). I'm really stressed out, so here are my stats:

    Monk - Dark Path - Halfing - 28 PT - LVL 18

    STR 25 +2 tome + 6 enchanted
    DEX 29 + 2 tome + 2 feat + 9 enchanted
    CON 20 + 6 enchanted -2 Light stance
    INT 14
    WIS 20 +1 tome + 3 feat+ + 6 inherent
    CHA 8

    Hit points: 354.

Using Garments of Equilibrium, and no special items.
BAB +13/+18 (I miss to everything!!!)

    feats:

    1. Toughness
    1. Two Weapon Fighting
    2. Power Attack
    3. Weapon Focus: Bludgeon
    3. Path of Inevitable Dominion
    6. Toughness
    6. Toughness
    9. Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    12. Improved Critical: Bludgeon
    15. Greater Two Weapon Fighting
    18. Toughness

So.. If you need any more information please just tell me and i will write it. Any suggestions on WHAT can I improve would be apreciated.

Turn power attack off if you are missing, max out guile and cunning enhancements, find a sneak attack item, a +2 attack item (or craft one/get someone to craft one), try to keep GH on yourself (whether by scroll/clicky/teammate/locality) and maybe pick up some (improved) destruction handwraps.

Nothing wrong with the build, just keep at it and the gear will come. Your troubles might come from running elite, at level content. Many people do this at the moment for the bravery bonus but if you aren't twinked or a TR then you'll struggle a bit particularly on a melee build. Are you putting your level ups into dexterity or strength as you might want to consider swapping one of your toughness feats for weapon finesse (not that there is enough of a difference between the 2 scores for it to be really useful).

Finally, swap to fire stance if you are missing, it will increase your DPS. Speccing in Philosophy of the Faithful Hound enhancements (which give +1-4 flanking attack) might help too. Then you probably can't help but hit as long as you don't have aggro.

I think you miss the best attack for a monk: Stunning Fist. I would swap a toughness feat for SF, and buy the best stunning HW you can get. You have a decent WIS score, so it should be OK.
I wasn't using SF until i read these forums and it really makes a difference in damaga output (at least for trash)

If you can provide your list of enhancements, it may be useful to get feedback on those.

As for your feats, you can improve those significantly. You show 4 toughness feats. If you swap 1 of those for Stunning Fist, you'll have your best defensive weapon. If you swap 1 more for Dodge, you can take the Ninja Spy PRE and get Shadow Fade, your second best defensive weapon. If you swap a 3rd for Improved Sunder, you improve your DC for Stunning Fist, Triple Dark combo, and Touch of Death, which should be your main weapons. Also, if you take the Eagle Claw enhancement, that also has a Fortitude Save, so it will be boosted by Improved Sunder.

    Default Fire stance

I would recomend going for fire stance, with jidz in the bracers slot, and 10+20% healing amp on your DT. The vampiric stonedust wraps for a main weapon. once u get a tod ring throw holy on it and u'll bypass most dr with the stonedust wraps, and metalline will take care of everything else.

Fire stance offers Karmic Strike, which is an auto-crit attack, and very nice when paired with stun. I would try pulling a stun then using karmic strike (fire+dark+fire) then fire strike again, and hit touch death then fire again. With all the changes to the game i think you will find fire stance pretty fun.

    Good luck!

Take SF and Improved Sunder feats. That's a lot of toughness feats you're taking.

My first monk had bad dmg imo - similar to yours. Second life is better; I made it more of a str build.

Better equips are probably your only real problem - I didn't have problems hitting on first life with a similar build and bad equips.

DT armor and Jidz bracers will replace your garments and give you a bit more AC. But you'll need to find something else for fortification.
